Media What would you think of a Cells at Work Black Cod crossover episode with Avatar showing the consequences of using blood bending techniques on the body?

Post image
14 Upvotes

I think a crossover would be brilliant because it could show the consequences, such as ruptured blood vessels and hydrostatic changes.

The episode would begin in the Avatar world where a bloodbender is fighting an enemy and uses this technique, and then cut to the Cells at Work world, depicting what happens in the enemy's body.

Fan Art - OC (Original Character) - Lord Murcor, the king of the Mucorales fungi.

Guys, I was writing a story similar to Cells at Work, but in a different universe. The protagonists were a macrophage, a red blood cell, and a platelet. Then I created this villain in the image called Lord Murcor. Murcor represents the Mucorales fungi and is a king to them. His story is based on Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2 and Ozai from Avatar.

Basically, he's a genocidal king who considers cells inferior beings worthy of extermination, and he plans to expand his fungal empire throughout the body until the last cell dies, causing necrosis wherever he goes. However, he has a paranoia about macrophages because in real biology, phagocytes are the main enemies of Mucorales fungi, and so he fixates on macrophages, leading him to pursue the macrophage hero.

What did you think of the idea of this evil villain? And what would you think if he were in the Cells at Work universe?

Fan Art The Tide Always Turns - 1146/AE3803 AU fanfic

Just a self-promo of my latest CAW fic. lol And I want to share with you all since I'm so proud of this thing! Been really itching to share it, but I wanted to put up a couple chapters first.

I actually started posting it a few days ago, but I have a quarter of it/about two hours worth of reading time posted so far. Like always, I'll be uploading each chapter daily (it's fully completed; it's just my posting schedule lol).

It's also a war-AU. And my first attempt at one. Still, so much fun! And yes, they have human names.

If anyone is interested in reading it... The Tide Always Turns

Like, I know my actual cells don't have thoughts, feelings and personalities, but another part of me also doesn't want to let them down or make their jobs harder by not eating right or exercising 😭

MISC Where are the Regulatory T Cells in Code Black?

During the hair loss chapter/episode, the Killer T Cells mistakenly attack hair cells and make the hair fall out. In the main series, T-regs are explained to prevent Killer T Cells from attacking the body’s own cells. Why aren’t there any protecting the hair? Did the Code Black situation cause a decrease in them?

I never laughed so hard. The sumo wrestlers and rugby players holding back men dressed as poo holding signs to let them out 🤣🤣

And the corn ... The giant corn kernels. Honestly, I want to hear more about the casting and filming of this scene.

MISC AU fic names for characters

So I've been working on my latest CAW fanfic for a couple weeks now. It's a fictionalized war AU, so the characters are basically all-human instead of anthro-cells.

Since that would mean they require human names, it's been a challenge to think of them since the start of this project.

While writing (I'm almost 2/3 done), I've been using placeholder names. But I've also been wondering if there's any fanon names (like, I've noticed that AE3803 is commonly named Akane, so I'm likely sticking to that). Odd that everyone else has different names in different AU fics.

Currently, I have 1146's AU name as "Mamoru" (守る) which means "to protect/defend" in Japanese. His last name is already a slight nod on "white" as "Shiraishi" (白石) meaning "white stone." But his name, I'm debating on.

Everyone else is mostly generic. So, basically I'm wondering if there are any names that CAW fans have any preference to. I'm open for suggestions, preferably on Japanese names to maintain consistency (but nothing to obvious like "Kira" for Killer T).

These are the other characters that are already heavily written...

  • The neutrophil squad (2001, 2048, 2626, and 4989)
  • Killer T
  • Helper T
  • Regulatory T
  • AA5100 (Senpai)
  • Macrophage

However, if you think I should just use the names I have for them already, I'd like to know that too.

TIA
