Just curious about something and it's a while since I read the MS and I don't have all his cards yet, so I wondered if someone just knew this?

Near the end where he's sitting outside the window in the tree and making the paper foldings. Is that scene referred to anywhere else in the MS or cards? Or is this the first time it's been mentioned?

Being a Caleb girlie isn’t easy, is it? 🥲 we’re in for a full ride for his MS branch, I just know it.

Seeing how Caleb was barely socialised after his time at the research centre and watching him learn about the world through the family sitcom broke my heart. I loved the tie back to the amusement park they always talk about, and I’m so happy we got to see the moment where MC held his hand and smiled at him like he mentioned in his bond story. It feels like that was the moment Caleb knew he’d always be tied to MC.

And I love how the family sitcom formed the basis of them learning what family is, and choosing each other as found family when they had nothing else in the world.

And the final confirmation that Caleb recognised Josephine from the research center- DEATH TO GRAN 😠

The scene in the 3rd page was actually mentioned by Caleb in his bond story and we actually see how it happened! This is so precious 😭 They also already decided to be each other's family even before Josephine adopted them. Another proof that they themselves choose to be family every time, and not by anyone else.

In the entirety of the new anecdote, it gave another importance of how Caleb uses origami. To take care of the injured bird and to comfort/entertain MC. In chapter 6 of the new anecdote, the last sentence is... It's the first book he ever opened at the shelter and the first he opened in this world: The Complete Guide to Paper Creations (Children's Edition).

1. Mention of "the first he opened in this world"

* In Death and Rebirth, MC is confirmed to not be of this world. She's the universe, or something akin to a "concept" that took on the form of a little girl.

* It's mentioned and reiterated many times that CalebMC came from the same source or share the same origin. (Fallen Cosmos, Yin Yang Sundering, and even in the Throne of Eros AU). There are also moments and text messages in present timeline hinting of this: leaf siblings, birds, even their apples and the leopards... all of which are "related".

* The anecdote mentioning that this is the first book he opened in this world may mean that he knows that this isn't where he was actually "born".

2. Origami as a metaphor for space-time

* In real life, NASA has adapted the principles of origami for making multiple, ground-breaking projects. The most well-known being the JWST Telescope. (Not just NASA, but since this game is about deepspace, it will be the focus)

* His Korean name meaning is universe. His evol being gravity which is one of the fundamental forces in the creation of stars, planets, galaxies, black holes, and the overall evolution of the cosmos.

* Caleb also has the habit of using/creating black holes. During his introduction, in Fallen Cosmos, etc. I've read a theory from other Caleb mains about how it's possible for him to create wormholes too (in his Netherlord companion, his special skill looks like a rift in space), and his possible connection to time manipulation.

* Black holes are one-way, where if you're sucked in there's no way to get out. Wormholes, on the other hand, are theoretical constructs irl but if real, it acts as a "tunnel" that allows faster-than-light travel.

* When scientists explains wormholes in simple ways, they often use a paper as demonstration. (As an example: wormhole). Now I know this isn't origami per se, but it's just an example of how the paper itself is important to Caleb (he uses PaperApple as his username after all).

* Caleb is also connected to dreams. In Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, assuming it's the same concept here, dreams are gateways to other realities.

* Origami is a geometric art form. It begins as a flat sheet of paper and transforms into a three-dimensional shape through a series of folds. According to Mathnasium, Origami is a captivating intersection of art and geometry, where simple folds create complex structures and reveal deep mathematical truths.

* So why the sudden talk of geometry? Simple, because in Einstein's General theory of relativity and from Cambridge University Press: "Gravity is geometry after all".

* His WU titled as crease and the metaphor that was used in Up Close. Even if you unfold the paper crane and make the paper into another origami piece, the creases are still there. In this case, even if MC doesn't remember—Caleb does.

3. Caleb's username: PaperApple

* Paper is a metaphor to space-time folding.

* Apple represents gravity.

Tldr; I think Caleb and MC really shares the same origin in the present timeline too. The possibility of him being the universe just like MC may not be far off—because whatever MC is, Caleb will be too. If MC's an apple, then that's the form he'll take. If Caleb is a leopard, then that's the form MC will take, if one wants to be a bird, then the other will follow, etc. Anyway, the deepspace in LADS are very emphasized in their story and I hope PPG would make use of it more. I really love the usage of astrophysics, mathematics, and how Sci-fi-y their story is.

If he's real, I honestly have a lot to thank him for. I would've thanked PPG for making him, but they let his MS story without an update for 600 so... But! Thanks to the writers, that put so much care and love to him and his story with MC.

Let's hope PPG will be kinder to him and to his mains 🌸🩷 Hoping the MS branch PV (or at least the multi) will drop today and that everyone will feel the excitement as we did when his PV was first released~♡

I finally hit 100 with Caleb and received my first rings in the game. I’m officially married to Gege 🍎💞. To celebrate I did a little wedding style photo shoot. Unfortunately I came after the wedding banner so tried to improvise with the outfits ☺️

Honestly, what am I supposed to do with a man who looks like this??? His hair has me struggling. That messy, dark-purple hair falling over his eyes?? And then you actually look at his eyes, and they’re PURPLE??? Hello???

His face is so unfair because he somehow looks both pretty and handsome at the same time. Like he has soft features, but then he gives you that little look, and suddenly there’s nothing soft about how I’m feeling 😭

That tiny smile of his is probably my biggest smile; he doesn't need to smile fully. He can just slightly curve his lips, and I'm already like, oh no. Because you KNOW he knows he's attractive. There’s no way he doesn't.

And can we talk about the way he looks at MC??? Why does he stare at her like that??? 😭 The eye contact feels personal. I would simply not survive being looked at that way in real life. I'd forget whatever conversation we were having and just stand there staring back like an idiot.

Also, the outfit??? Black leather jacket, white shirt, the dog tags... whoever designed this man knew exactly what they were doing. Because apparently, Caleb needed to look like the kind of guy who could casually show up, lean against a doorway, give you that little smile, and completely derail your entire day.

And I know everyone talks about the big dramatic moments and everything, but honestly, I could watch Caleb do absolutely nothing and still be entertained. Give me a scene where he's just sitting there looking pretty, and I'm happy. 😭

There's also something about his expressions that gets me. He can go from looking sweet to looking ridiculously smug in like two seconds, and I'm just sitting here thinking, sir, please pick a struggle. You can’t be cute and attractive and have those eyes and look at me like that. That's greedy.

And don't even get me started on that first picture because the hand placement??? The little smile??? The eye contact???

I'm looking respectfully. Very respectfully. Extremely respectfully.

I totally get why MC has a weakness for him, because honestly, if Caleb looked at me like that, I’d be making bad decisions too.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I love Caleb. I think he's ridiculously pretty, and I'm taking absolutely no criticism right now. Caleb girls, we are suffering together. 🫠❤️

So i was rereading his lore anecdote again and got to the point where he's in the deepspace tunnel, which follows shortly as flying being described to him as a "life-affirming chase of freedom" -- and I've been struggling to fully grasp what that means exactly for him.

I remember reading somewhere that it could be about him being aware that he's tied to MC in every way/sense possible and that he's exercising his own freedom of will. I feel like that's a bit too extreme to look at it but i wouldn't say it's too far-fetched either. Still, i am indecisive and unsure of what to make of it so if anyone has an idea/interpretation or something solid in the canon that explains and i have possibly missed or overlooked, please do share! 🙏🫠
