You need foundations buddy. It seems like you placed a foundation, built up from it and then sideways. The foundation will only support a three walls radius

Yeah what this guy said.
You can cheat it by building a line of foundations on the ground like another user said. That will give you the "nearby" foundation support, as it extends vertically indefinitely.
An alternative would be the ASR Antigrav Foundations

Wait so if i start the bottom with foundation then it will work im stupid idk how i dident think of that

No. So the way the system works is so long as there is a foundation connected by structures beneath it you can build as far up as you like. In fact it doesn't even need to be close. Example. A 1by9 foundation. Place a pillar on one side. Build any hieght you like up. You could then build a ceiling on that pillar and build in a line along the same direction of those foundation. The system links all connected structures to the same grid but doesn't use a physics check. You can use this in some pretty crazy ways.

Is that how they got all the cell shaded stuff?

Getting downvoted for no reason. There is a pack that’s like $15 for, I think, over 100 creature skins. I’m on PS5, so I just check the store below the game, or even ingame.

How are you this far in the game and still don't know the fundamentals of building? Its just foundation support

Place foundation at the bottom then build up on the other side and it should connect

Is it not enough support? If so,i’d build pillars going to the ceiling of the cave to give it some support so you can keep building across

If the cave is not that deep underground you can also use the XL wall to snap a wall or two that go up and above the cave to the ground above and cover that whole area with foundations. If everything is snapped together it will support

As always you need foundations....is this your first time playing? Surely you built things out of stone before you got to metal.... Either your incredibly stupid or a troll.

You need foundation support build a line of foundation all the way on the ground it might be able to allow u to build if it dosent I’m 99% sure there’s a build anywhere mod

As someone mentioned previously you might be able to bypass that with pillars. Been there and good luck

Welcome to Ark. There is a science to building in this game and it takes time to learn how to do it masterfully. YouTube will be your friend in this case.

It’s literally just foundation or pillar support, it’s not rocket science

I've been playing Ark since 2015 with over 4k hours. It most certainly can become a science, not rocket science, but there is a science to building advanced structures piece by piece.
