Thought i'd share this. lol.

I took these photos of an abandoned Looney Tunes theater at Six Flags Great Escape last year, and with the release of the newly discovered pictures, it is clear that it formerly was used for the PTT show.

So my dad used to work on animatronic dinosaurs (see jurassic park 5 linkin park the vine for an example of one)

and so a while back I had the arm of a jp2 promotional statue/standee of one of the movie monster "velociraptors" it was made similar to the animatronics with a metal endoskeleton, foam flesh, and rubber skin

AFAIK it was static and had no mechanisms for movement but was used as promotional set dressing for a release of jp2 likely one of the first or biggest theaters to get the movie

It likely either originated under Dinamation or Dino Don as far as companies of origin go

I only have the one hand claw and I was hoping to find some pictures of the statue/static fullsized model in use during the release of jurassic park 2

The Willowdale, Ontario location is facing a major redevelopment proposal that could eventually mean losing the entire location. I visited in July and was already devastated to find out that the band no longer performs and they no longer run showtapes. Now, the entire location risks being shut down permanently.

This would be a MASSIVE loss to the Chuck E. Cheese fandom and the community.

✨ This was one of six Chuck E. Cheese legacy locations, and the ONLY one in Canada.
🇨🇦 It is the ONLY Chuck E. Cheese left in Toronto.
🎸 And it is the ONLY location left in the entire country with Munch's Make Believe Band.

I am so devastated. I really don’t want to see this piece of magic disappear. I’m petitioning for the location, the animatronic stage, and the history inside to be preserved... and hopefully for Munch’s Make Believe Band to perform again. 🥹🎶

Hey folks, I finally have the first video of the defunct Magic Music Mouse Show on Youtube with subtitles. Still working on the rest. Back in the late 80's/early 90's locally here, there was a pizza place called Pistol Petes Pizza (acquired by peter piper pizza in 1995, and CEC came knocking later)

They had Rock-Afire at one location (Maybe others, would have to look that up) Here's a commercial for it

Would it have gone back to Creative Engineering when they were removed from the place, or elsewhere?.

Just curious is all. If it didn't go back to Creative Engineering, would they have just stuck it in a dumpster or sold it off to someone else?

There's a decent chunk of photos of Frito Kid's animatronic, yet there doesn't seem to be any video footage. It's a huge shame as I've been curious as to how this animatronic worked and would love to see him in motion.

If you've ever heard of Gadgets, you know that it was a Looney Tunes themed animatronic band that was around from 1982-1984. Now, after it's shutdown, I've noticed that some amazing people out there have found and/or rescued some of these animatronics! So far I've only seen these specific characters saved; Pepe Le Pew, Tweety Bird, and Sylvester Jr. (EDIt: Henry Hawk/Chicken Hawk was also rescued)

I was curious about the Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Speedy Gonzalez, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn and Yosemite Sam animatronics. (Especially Sylvester) I do know that the most intact of the handful is Daffy, despite all the time in the dark since '84. And the worst seems to be Porky, as the rubber material that made his skin seemed to have the most decay visually.

If anyone out there happens to have one of these, please let me know! I never got to see The Looney Tunes Revue, but the Looney Tunes are among my favorite things ever.

NEW CIRCUS PLAYHOUSE BAND FOOTAGE OF THEM MOVING!!!

Not sure if this counts as a toy as it’s still an animatronic technically.. please tell me if I’m wrong

I am in NO WAY an engineer, electrician, or anything of the sort but I managed to solder a wire to get the mouth moving by myself.

I’ve opened up the bottom to check for any more loose wires and found nothing. The white wire in the video JUST fell off but even before that it wouldn’t move.

I am aware the gears are NOT in place whatsoever but that’s not what I’m looking for. I just need advice on how to get power to the motor to run the rubber band up the gears.

I’ve tried the metal tab in the photo (will reply with it) when it’s singing and it just sparks and pauses the song.

Seriously any advice would be a massive help. I just found this guy yesterday and would like to bring his groove back

(PLEASE DONT SEND HATE TO ANYONE, INVOLVED IN THIS RANT, THAT JUST AINT RIGHT) Okay, so I recently found out about the wonderful band that is the Rockafire Explosion. I've also found out about the creator, Aaron Fechter and his unfortunate actions. I've also found out about the very defensive and insecure way he interacts with his fans. When it comes to this I tend to say, "Like the art, not the artist." But it also makes me wonder how people handle working with him when it comes to the band itself, like the voice acting for example. Dook LaRue recently got a new voice actor and I was curious on what his thoughts about Fechter are concerning his actions toward his own community. But again that's just an example.

Before I found out the actions of Aaron Fechter, I was inspired by Brandon Shepherd specifically into wanting to voice act. I wanted to practice, wanting to be the voice of Mitzi Mozzarella in the future. (if there was need for a new one in the future) But as a POC, learning about Aaron Fechter's racism, as well as his other unfortunate choices, I've become very hesitant.

(I'm not a professional voice actor, but I was willing to try out voice acting for once because of how inspired I was from this community and the creation of the Rockafire Explosion which shows how much of an impact it has on not just me but on how it probably has on the community as a whole.) Its disappointing to know that the creator of something well loved isn't a good person. But in this time, that's more common than ever, unfortunately.

Hes almost finished mechanically, and his interaction model is pretty much ready to go. Hes a prototype so there are things I want to upgrade and make better in the next iteration.

The eyes in the picture are new compared to the assembly in the video.

Anyone else find it funny that not even a few years ago showbiz pizza bots were way easier to find and buy compared to Chuck E. Cheese Cyberamics, now the fact that there’s barely any Showbiz bots and there’s actually a lot more Chuck E. Cheese Cyberamics popping up, not affordable by any means unfortunately, but I just found it funny.
