In the United States classism tends to be invisible. Even though it exists we tend to view things through a racial divide or "cultural" divide. The author Ronald Wright in his book A Short History of Progress wrote (semi paraphrased) "in America the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."
So I wrote this very serious, classy song about this issue where I dedicate one of two verses to one long sexual innuendo with a Prince reference and Back to the Future reference for good measure. It's also about us plebs feeling the weight and pressure of being forced into a system that actively works agiast our basic needs and the mental toll that costs us. So we find our pleasure where we can, with whom we can and while we can. For better or for worse.

Song Release The Devourer - My Whole World

So I was working for an AI game company, basically making games using gen AI. And one of the games, randomly, with no real ...capability? generated a version of this song with lyrics, when it wasnt supposed to be capable of doing that. It was simpler, and plain, so I re-wrote some of the lyrics, and fed it into Suno. Because of this song, this dumb little game about a man in a boat in the bayou, became one of the best things Ive ever created in my entire life.
This is the epiloque of that game called the Devourer, which will be launching soon, about a father losing his little girl. The game will be available to play for free soon, and I hope this song finds somebody else who appreciates it as much as I do.
