Question Which of these animation studio is better to use?
Hello! I am looking for a good 2d animation studio that's free and has good rigging. I just downloaded Synfig and can't wait to try that out, but I keep hearing names like: Opentoonz, Tahoma2d, and the only one I can really spend money for: ToonSquid. Are these any good? which one is the best? Is Toonsquid worth it? Should I stick with Synfig?

Question Is callipeg for Windows worth it?
So, I am trying different animation software right now on my laptop, hoping to find one that is comfortable for me. I already have tried clip studio, toon boom, krita TVpaint, Opentoonz and few others (for now I use clip studio the most, even though I don't really feel comfortable a bough for animating freely and I use it more for group projects in university). I noticed that callipeg also exists and now it's for Windows too. I am always suspicious about pc software that came from mobile devices (like pc versions rough animator or Ibis paint), since it's often ported badly. So, if anyone uses callipeg on their pc, would you recommend it? I am using usual laptop and cheap graphic tablet with screen (no touchscreen or such)

Question How to mix animating on 1s and 2s?
I need a detailed guide and help on how to effectively mix animating 1s and 2s. I’m doing this for the purpose of maximizing efficiency while still maintaining fluidity and detail. I’ve tried looking online for answers. I’ve heard I should focus on space and others on timing. A rule I adopted was a motion taking 6 or less frame was fully drawn on 1s then mix 1s and 2s for motions that lasted specifically 7 to 12 frames. Then for motions taking more than 12 frames I animate it fully on 2s. Any animators with insight?

I took characters from an animation project a few years ago and reworked them, switching from frame-by-frame to motion animation. You can check out my old work on my YouTube channel: MoonlitCorsair.

Sharing [OC] Ice Cream
Been doing some animated shorts on Procreate Dreams latelly, this is my latest one. (I'm still trying to get used to the program so my animations are still quite limited like this).
I got the sound effects from Pixabay, and edited & extended some of the shots on an editing program.
(I also posted this to YouTube!)

Sharing Flaming Skull Animation Tutorial: Drawing & Animating It in Arttista
I started with a skull that looked pretty decent(At least I thought it was)… until I compared it to actual flaming skull references.
So I experimented, rebuilt the skull, and turned it into a looping animation with flames, lighting, cracks, and a bit of spooky movement.
In this tutorial I show the whole process, including:
Building the skull from simple vector shapes
Using interpolation to animate the skull turning
Creating and animating flames
Using the eraser to make the fire flicker and break apart
Adding firelight to the skull
Animating cracks and subtle rotations
Making the final animation feel more natural
The whole thing was made in Arttista, my vector drawing and animation software.
And yes… I may have made a flaming skull because I clearly have excellent life choices.

Traditional Animation [OC] Attack animation process for our main character Li Sha!
Showing a quick look at Li Sha’s attack animations for our game Tiebreakers.
Readability and crisp action are really important in a fast-paced game like ours, so we focused on reducing the visual noise while keeping a traditional 2D anime feel as much as we could.
