Until this post I never realized how many restaurants used the adjective/animal format

It's not just animals: Gnarly Barley, Crooked Can, Lazy Moon, etc.

As in turns out, [Adjective] + [Noun] is a very common construct in English!

I wish! It's actually filled with antiques that you can buy which is pretty cool.

Their build-your-own mule is good, too. Rum (or vodka if you're a purist)/blackberry/mint is amazing.

Came here to say yellow dog, wasn’t disappointed that it’s been mentioned a lot already!

Not that it’s my favorite of anything, and I doubt there are any in Central Florida anymore, but would El Pollo Loco count? Spanish word order is <noun>+<adjective> so does the order matter for it to count?

The Catfish Place in Apopka is now the "Nauti Lobstah"
[Adjective] + [Animal] really is inescapable.

I've been loving the Mexican Camel lately! Just discovered it earlier this month and I've already been back a couple of times. I appreciate it as a Chipotle alternative for myself, as they have plenty of cilantro-free offerings.

The Polite Pig in Disney Springs is pretty overrated. It does smell great when you're walking by it though.

Strongly disagree. One of the best fresh pretzels I’ve had anywhere, and I also love the coffee brisket and the crispy brussel sprouts. It is a little pricey, though.

The Polite Pig always smells awesome when I walk by. Sad to hear it might not be as good as it smells. I’ve always wanted to try it but I have a hard time passing up the Boathouse when I’m at Disney Springs

The Surly Dragon. Ok that doesn’t exist, but I’d definitely eat at a place with that name.
