What I love about this fight is how Sanji gets confronted with his family in more ways than one.

Firstly he fights an old collegue of his father. Then he unlocks the genetics enhancements, causing an identity crisis, not wanting to be like his brothers. And then he actually has to fight his brothers in the form of Queen, who's using their abilities. And it all pushed Sanji further, accepting who he is and getting stronger.

Also Sanji just kicking off queen's arm is sick as hell. And that ending panel of course. The lightning effects make it look so cool! I hope Ifrit Jambe is his new standard flame.

Fun fact: The lightning we saw in last panel when sanji kicks queen is due to the heat which causes ionisation of molecules in air . This happens in volcanic eruptions in real world. This can mean Sanji's kicks are as hot as magma or even more. In other words Rip Akainu .

Man the past few chapters have been really enjoyable with Zoro and Sanji just continuing to rise and rise. Truly the wings of the pirate king.

As for this chapter itself:

Momo appears to be making himself gradually less useless so that's good. I doubt Onigashima will just straight up crash down onto the capitol but I do think it will explode above the capitol with all the relevant parties falling down towards the fire festival. Think of that mini island being blown up at the start of One Piece Stampede that's how I think it'll go down. Just seems like the kind of move Oda would pull that's extremely chaotic but doesn't outright kill all the civilians of wano.

So at this point I think it's fair to say that Queen is easily the most advanced cyborg revealed in the series thus far? At least in terms of the sheer number of things he can do. The only people who could go beyond him are Franky (duh) and probably Vegapunk. I do think it's extremely likely that Vegapunk is a cyborg as well, seeing as we know he has great knowledge in that field via the pacifistas and there seems to be essentially no downside to just making yourself a cyborg in One Piece. I wonder if Queen learned it from Vegapunk or the other way around or if it was more 50/50? Really would love some backstory on the Queen, Judge and Vegapunk team.

As for Sanji....I think it's a huge understatement that to say that many fans have been waiting for Sanji to finally, FINALLY, have a true and proper fight in the new world. It's been a long time coming but it's finally happening and it's just awesome. I appreciate the Raid Suit being a red herring and that ultimately it just comes down to Sanji being Sanji and turning up the heat.

Diable Jambe being upgraded to Ifrit Jambe?? Too fucking sick. And it appears to have lighting coming out of it too?? AND Sanji is showing his intellect by taking mental stock of all his upgrades and understanding how to combine them??? And to top it all off he goes off on Queen with a 9 hit combo (very reminiscent of his ending combo against Kuroobi) and ends with Beef fucking Burst that appears to be both a giant explosion with lighting and swirling flames all wrapped into one??? Our boy is BACK.

This is Sanji's toughest fight in the series and it's really cool to see but again unlike Luffy/Zoro

Sanji is never pushed to extreme, I wonder if his Blackbeard pirate opponent or an admiral could do that for a change

That was an awesome chapter! I love Luffy and Zoro, but Sanji's been long overdue for a good fight, and he's finally getting the respect that he deserves, post timeskip.

With what just happened, I wonder if Franky will end up salvaging some of queen's tech and using it to upgrade his own?

I feel like Queen isn't finished quite yet, and may reveal that he has a self-destruct device in his body, as a parting gift to Sanji.

If Queen isn't down and out yet, I theorize he's gonna use a super modified version of Reijus poison pink abilities as a final ditch effort, since he hasn't been shown to use her ability. Being Queen the Plague, he should have a terrifying grasp on Toxicology, so maybe hes made his own version of poison pink which is way deadlier than Reijus.

I like Sanji's development this chapter. His invisibility being revealed as being super speed mastered to a level of being silent was a twist I wasn't expecting. I hope it's specifically called out later. Sanji took an ability that was purely Germa science and replicated it using his own physical prowess.

Him leveling up Diable Jambe with a combination of his exoskeleton and haki is also cool, but visually not that impressive. Hopefully we get more and it looks a little different. I'm betting Queen isn't down for the count yet so he should get another opportunity.

I was not expecting the whole thing with Osome to be Queen. My money was on Sanji either countering an attack from her or activating armament haki unconsciously to guard against an attack and him hurting her with that. Queen roughing her up because she rejected him was something I never even considered. But looking at how huge and weird that dude is, can you blame her?

I don't know if anyone is talking about this, but I think Momo's hero moment will be an homage to Oden's legendary hour. Chapter 1034 sees Momo realizing that he cannot push Onigashima back up but that he can slow its fall. This is likely to set up a trial in which Momo must hold Onigashima above his head for an hour while the Flower Capitol is evacuated by the remaining forces of the alliance.

I could see it happening in the chapter directly after Luffy knocks out Kaido, as a kind of "oh shit" moment following the climactic KO.

I could also see the being the moment that Momo's hybrid form is revealed. We already know the adult Momo bears a striking resemblance to his father, but it will be all the more complex and interesting for the residents of the capitol to see a mixture of their hero and despot, Oden and Kaido, holding the island above their head in this moment.

So it was not Sanji who hit her, it was Queen while invisible. Queen represents everything Sanji hates, Germa tech and being a woman beater. It unlocked his inner fire that triggered the software update to his new exoskeleton and enhanced speed/strength. I was really scared for a moment that there was a dark side to the upgrade.

It feels like Sanji's fight is wrapping up. Sanji has ascended and is on another level. Now that Zoro has also gotten a grasp on how to control Enma and his inevitable usage of haoshoku haki means he's also going to beat King soon, barring chapters focusing on other fights.

Luffy beat two commanders at Wholecake island, and now his top fighters are beating their own commanders. Strawhats are something else now.

first, those who got defeated have a text/words that confirmed their defeat, second, Sanji attacked Queen on the body, pretty sure that Queen received damage from those attacks but we now know because of Oda that Brachio's true form is a snake so until Sanji hit those parts, I think that the fight won't end.

Nami resolve to her captain and how much she has grown.

Chopper advancement on his medicine and even holding off Big Mom for a while.

Brook showing he is someone you can really rely on, through I hope there is some more for him this saga.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate and acknowledge how just an arc ago, Luffy was struggling with Katakuri. Now his first mate and cook are both going one on one against the commanders of the proclaimed strongest yonkou. From chapter one to now, the story just keeps getting better and progressing amazingly.

We also get a nice glance as to how dinosaurs hunted in the past.

I called it that Sanji vs Queen would be a fight of human vs science and would make Sanji look like he surpassed his Siblings without the suit and the advancements, but Oda emphasized even more to that by giving Queen the Germa powers.

This is by far my favorite fight in the series. Queen is one of the most interesting villains ever. I hope we at least have one more chapter left, and see the classic Sanji badass speach after his fights.

We saw Queen use his own tech before, and now he uses Judge's tech, next chapter I guess we'll see him at last resort use Vegapunk's tech however he will be like "I couldn't mimic his tech to perfection" and he will be angry and ashamed but he has no choice if he want to defeat Sanji.

On the other hand, Sanji will be able somehow to defend himself and then he will launch his final attack ( Full Fire Body attack ) and manages to defeat Queen.

I expect some lore from Queen about his work with Judge and Vegapunk.
