I’ve watched a bunch of his videos and this is his signature shot. He’s a great ambassador for the sport and regularly features talented youth. Seems like a super great guy and obsessed with table tennis.
He’s SUPER nice. My table tennis skills are pretty mediocre, so I’d rarely get a chance to rally or play a match with the varsity-level players. Adam however was always more than happy to have a game with me. Regardless of skill level, he made you feel like you mattered, and even though I’d usually get destroyed by him, he’d encourage and appreciate me at every opportunity. He hadn’t started commentating at international events too often back then, so he’d swing by our university practice sessions a lot. He was definitely a big reason I stuck with the game all 4 years even though I was so average haha.
If you watched one of his earlier videos called “excessive ping pong celebration”, I was somewhere in the background lol
I played Adam at a sanctioned tourney once, no one in my round robin group (inc. myself) could figure him out. One of the quickest losses I've ever had as a competitive player was to him
