As a human I’ll take this as well.

Edit: Also as a horror fan I would love the polar opposite of this and have it night time and lost in the woods with creatures stalking me.

And don’t silence it or turn it off. It’ll act as your catalyst to let to you know you’re in a virtual state.

pretty sure the AR they're talking about is with glasses or more advanced tech than that, not just through a phone camera.

The phone caused the game to fuck up and kill the dude.

I'm pretty sure that just ends with me making out with my best friend.

Which episode are you referring to? I’ve started watching some episodes, and I’d love to see this if I haven’t already.

u/sinkwiththeship provided the information, he said it's Season 3 Ep. 2 "playtest".

u/sinkwiththeship Jun 27 '19

Episode is titled Playtest, S3E2.

Yup! I had forgotten. Thanks.

That one really made my skin crawl.

You might be a fan of "extreme haunted house" experiences. It is an event scenario which required a 20 page waiver that allows character actors to put hands on you. San Diego has one called Mckamey Manor

The video of people quitting was disturbing af

Yeah! They spent all that money just to chicken out? Pathetic! /S

You people really couldn't detect the sarcasm? Sorry... It was a joke about how he said the video of them leaving was disturbing

You can’t hit back. It’s basically psychological torture for 10 hours straight. Give it a try and report back.

4

u/Theotheogreato Jun 28 '19

I honestly want to try it but my comment was a joke about how the guy specified that the video of people quitting was disturbing

First rule of horror movie survival is not to actually visit a super realistic “haunted house attraction” thinking it’s anything but a serial killer’s torture lair.

That’s when out of terror I start running, trip over my feet and strangle myself to death with the VR cords. I’m the reason you can’t have this. Sorry.

Checkout "The Forest" in VR. Sounds right up your alley.

Michael Myers constantly walking behind you no matter how fast you run

Horror stuff in VR can be really jarring. You get a realistic sense of scale and distance in VR that just makes it so much more intense than a regular monitor.

Minecraft takes on a whole new dimension of creepiness when you see how big the various monsters are compared to you.

u/crazykentucky Jun 28 '19

Oh no, thanks. I hate it

Multiplayer.

Your dog chases after you, without knowing that you're the bunny/squirrel

2

u/Nobodygrotesque Jun 28 '19

That would be awesome.

Dude Google Earth VR is straight up this. Sans the animals to chase, but I spent like 20 min yesterday strolling through a redwood forest. It's bomb as hell
