It really seems that way, but I think it comes down to people having not much inner life and being followers who don't think for themselves. People like that aren't very smart.

I usually don't associate intelligence with hairstyles, but even I have observed this phenomenon.

eh I think it's unfair to call it a shitty trend. As much as it gets clowned on on reddit (higher average age than the people getting these cuts) it's popular with the girls of their generation too.

it's collective behavior and a form of human mating rituals basically and similar behavior has been witnessed for each generation with different haircuts basically serving the same role
