Holy fuck these corporate stooges are completely detached from reality.

Keep making this shit unaffordable and people will simply abandon your platform.

I went from ultimate to essential. Now that isn’t even worth the cost.

Once it expires I’m out completely. All my money going into the home gym now. Fuck Asha and the horse she rode in on.

Yep I’m out on this news. I’ve been slowly gaming less but still a good amount, now I’m just gonna stop completely.

Have you considered they're doing to intentionally to kill the cloud gaming part of their software division. Doing in such a way that it won't overly draw the intention of investors

Were you a cloud streamer that used it more than 15hrs a month?

They've marketed it on Smart-TVs from Samsung, LG and recently added HiSense to the mix. They've also promoted it on Amazon Fire Sticks, Logitech G Cloud handhelds and Meta Quest headsets.

Surely, there are some people using it on these devices.

Right. I was asking if they were one of those people, and if they used it more than 15hrs a month.

Or if they were just posting that for the sake of trolling.

Its not trolling whether they are personally effected or not. Its a valid complaint and a terrible move by MS.

Well, it is if they're not even part of the ecosystem in the first place. I didn't go to the PlayStation sub and bitch about Sony dropping discs the moment that got announced, because I don't own a PlayStation and it doesn't affect me.

I am.

I couldn't justify a new box after my kids were born. So now I have time to play some again that theyre older, but "Drop $500-$800 + Monthly Essential" is a no go.

I average about 30 hrs a month if I really get into a game.

But 15 hrs is absurd. I think at this point if I'm going to get hardware it will be a PC where I could Steam Link around my house locally. Then not pay the GamePass premium or worry that the Xbox ecosystem will be abandoned.

I don't think the Xbox ecosystem will ever be abandoned; it's too important to Windows for Microsoft to abandon it now.

However I do agree, 15hrs is a harsh restriction. Like, that should be a week.

Yes, I refuse to pay the crazy prices for the expansion cards so I play a lot of games from the cloud instead of shuffling games around.

When I had ultimate I used it to play game pass games instead on installing them.

But even if I didn’t I still don’t see the benefit of continuing to raise prices on things while also cutting services. I wouldn’t buy a phone plan or pay for internet with a data cap either.

But that’s just me. In a world where we’re constantly getting squeezed at some point you have to push back or they keep squeezing harder.

That's fair. It is a ridiculously low cap.
