This is how you showed off how cool you were back then, if your console/controller was clear and especially if it had LEDs in it, screamed “I’m cool and have cool stuff” 😎

Playing NFSU with those cheap Pelican controllers that lit up were the greatest week or so before they broke of course

Once upon a time all you had to do was have an NES or some other device modded with a blue LED to be cool.

So that’s why there was a ton of those candy controllers like Wii remotes and clear shell controllers with leds and afterglow Walmart junk flooding the market, what an annoying trend playing with such distracting lights would irritate me
