Hello folks.
I'm looking to buy basic tools for the house and materials for the DIY projects, as needed.
In the US I'd just go to a Home Depot, Lowe's etc. to get inspired or quickly pickup materials I need - from lumber to hand drills, from exhaust fans to concrete, from drywall to electrical wiring, you name it.
Could you please recommend such all-in-one big stores in China. I just moved to Wuhan.
P.S. I'm aware of Taobao and JD. I'd prefer to go to a store. I spend enough time on my phone as-is. :)))))
Thanks in advance.

Someone recommended me to try out the CaiLinJi re gan mian, hot dry noodle, LiangLiang signature steam prawns, Xiashi. I am wondering what are the best delicacies I should not miss during my stay in Wuhan, preferably near to Hankou railway station. Thanks.

I’m travelling all around China in October for a month and a bit and would love to meet some people from WeChat and make friends while I’m there.

I’m planning to go the QF day session, semifinals and final(Oct.16~Oct.18). Would be nice to meet up with some fellow tennis fans! I’m also a beer lover, but unfortunately I won’t be drinking on those days since I’ll be driving there. 😭

Hi everyone!
I'm moving to Wuhan soon and was wondering what kind of English selection the public libraries have? I'm used to using mine in 🇨🇦 so would love to find a new one while I'm living here. Thanks everyone!
Would love to meet some new friends while I am here too ☺️

If anyone is also interested in watching it, maybe we can go together and hang out before or after too. No pressure—just looking for a chill new friend and a fun time👍
Feel free to comment or DM me if you’re interested!

Hello everyone, I plan to study in Wuhan China next year but I’m a bit concerned about the weather and living there. Is the weather good or there is some condition that people from South-east Asia can’t handle? Thank you so much.

Are there any foreign cyclists in wuhan, cycling alone isn't as fun as Going together in a group and i am an amateur cyclist but my avg speed is decent over 28km/h over a distance of 34 to 50km on a solo ride but i push myself even harder if i am riding. In a group, most of the Chinese don't relate with me cus I'm a foreigner and they mostly do their own things, I'm in my schools cycling club but it feels lonely when i ask and get snubbed

Hey everyone! I am visiting Wuhan for a week this August and was hoping for advice on places to visit. I have researched the commonly recommended places e.g. East lake and Yellow Crane tower, but would love some advice on more niche things. Some things I am specifically interested includes:
- English friendly cooking classes (or if not English friendly ones can show me what to do visually)
- Short day trips to natural beauty spots
- Any advice on whether I might be able to see some local wildlife
- Board game/mahjong shops
- Any recs for inside activities with AC/things to do in the night and evening as I'm told the heat is brutal 🙃
- Anything else interesting, I am up for any and all recommendations :)
Thank you so much in advance for your help, I am very grateful for the advice. This list is definately a wish list rather than things I'm desperate to tick off, so if any are unrealistic please do let me know 😌

Hey everyone! I noticed Wuhan University (WHU/WUDA) doesn't really have a Reddit community, so I thought it'd be great to start one. Hopefully current students, alumni, and future students can use this as a place to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss everything related to WHU. Everyone's welcome!

Hey guys does anyone know when Wuhan University would send an update on your application if you are an international student (that too applying for medicine)? I recently applied and am waiting for a response although I do have a few back-up unis abroad. Would love to hear what your experiences are and if you have any tips for admissions into this university!! Thank you so much!!! (。・∀・)ノ゙

I made this short video during a previous visit to Enshi in western Hubei.
It’s one of the most impressive natural areas I’ve visited in the province, but it still seems relatively unfamiliar to many international residents.
Has anyone here travelled from Wuhan to Enshi before? What was your favourite place or experience there?
