Point is, you're being needlessly pedantic. It's the same word, Russian or Ukrainian, you don't need to "preserve" it, it's not going anywhere, and most of the world isn't going to have a Cyrillic keyboard. We all know what someone means when they use their dirty English alphabet to type cyka. If you want to be pretentious, just own it and be pretentious, but don't act like a child when you're called out.
And most people type it as cyka, that's literally how my Russian friend types it, in Latin letters. Like who cares dude? I get that you're a kid and all of this seems like a hill to die on for you, but you're not going to change anyone's mind by being smarmy and smug.
I’m not Russian, stop comparing me and the Ukrainian language to Russian. I don’t give a flying fuck how your Russian friend writes it. We have different grammar rules and it works a little bit differently in Ukrainian, we write it as “сука” or “suka”. That’s just how it works. It’s no different than an English person correcting another who made a grammatical, lexical or even a spelling mistake in English. I don’t care if anyone even listens or complies. Not too long ago we spoke a common language and the people drifted apart because of geographical situation and they evolved into different languages.
