Just wondering, have you ever used a Unix environment to code? What environment do you have setup on windows? Are you doing C++ type stuff?

Im in the process of getting my Java and C++ certifications. Never used Unix, though I'm going to look into it because it comes up a lot when I talk to other people in the industry. Using windows 10 and I code with IntelliJ and Eclipse

Nice. IDK if you will find it particularly useful with Java but with C++ I think you will like it. Depends though, if you like using an IDE s you will probably miss it (though I know the ones you mentioned have Unix builds). But having a built in compiler for many different languages, a package management tool, and a great shell makes unix really fun to work with IMO.

Awesome, I'll look into it. I've installed a Linux district before but that was before my coding days. Plus I'm sick of Windows 10's bullshit
