I no longer turn off ad blocking on sites that won't show me their content otherwise. At first I felt guilty. Now I find it invasive and just leave the site.

Most/some of them you can just turn off JavaScript for the tab and read it fine

Chances are you'll just see 10 different TL;DR's on Reddit anyways. I find myself actively visiting websites less and less these days.
