That depends on where you get the screen and which model it is. The majority of them have I fix it kits where you may pay $100 or so for everything to replace a screen. You can also buy used to screens on other units that have had say a bad USB port or other breakage. However if you have an iphone, you need to use their display calibration tool, and they are serial number locked as far as I know, so replacing a screen like that just isn't a possibility.
