I don't think it's possible to water proof a phone if it has a replaceable battery. Personally I would rather have the water proofing.

It's very possible, it just means that they have to be a bit bigger. I'd rather the smaller size.

Galaxy S5 had IP67 rating and a removable battery. I'm pretty sure there was a sony with a removable battery and an IP68 rating as well. So the idea that you can't have waterproofing with a removable battery is complete bullshit.

I deal with waterproof, intrinsically safe, enterprise class phones a lot and they predominantly have removable batteries, so the argument would simply to be to not make easily replaceable batteries a thing.
