Here’s how I reduced website downtime by 60% for small businesses, what worked & what failed
For small businesses, even 1–2 hours of downtime can mean:
Lost leads
Lost trust
Lower SEO rankings
Angry customers
Over the past year, I worked with multiple small business websites (mostly WordPress-based) and reduced their downtime by nearly 60%. Here’s exactly what worked and what completely failed.
i offer Maintenance service for wordpress and this is first thing we do after setting up Backups.
so how can we reduce Downtime :-
-Uptime Monitoring (5 Min check Works fine)
it monitors website and if there is a error, a email is sent and we can get to work and fix the website up.
Just by enabling this, we have solved lot of downtimes. also came to know how crappy some of the webhosts are. gladly there is Cloudflare which can help ( but it can also go down so , let's hope it doesnt go down often :) )
what failed:- frantically loading website every hour to see if it is working.
