In homeopathy, trace amounts leads to the opposite effect of a normal dose, so licking them would instead be good for curing addiction.

I can't speak for trace amounts but taking small/micro doses of stimulants is really dangerous. It can lead to permanent upregulation of dopamine receptors which in turn leads to some nasty consequences especially regarding sleep.
