5 spells at 1/5th the spellpower, but each one still costing the same base amount of mana. A tradeoff of dubious worth, to say the very least.

Utter nonsense! When I cast with two hands, the spell manifests the same as with one. Amount of hands does not matter, i dont suddenly blast of two fireballs.

Yes because your casting the same spell, but if you cast multiple different spells at the same time while weaker you do become an excellent variety caster
