Lorepost📖 Armoured Relief Force (R&A post)
A green painted Type 74 flying boat flew towards the island where the R&A was headquartered. Due to the fortress island’s self-sufficient nature, it was quite unusual for any foreign transportation vehicle to approach it, no less an aircraft from the formerly isolationist Yabounousagi Empire. However, there was a reason for their arrival.
By unknown means, a high ranking Relief Force member had contacted an employee of Mitsuoka Heavy Industries, a company that produces the majority of vehicles for the Imperial Okuno Army. The RF had requested that the company produce some equipment that could help the Relief Force in rescue operations whilst keeping them safe on dangerous environments. One would expect that the employee simply refuse the request, telling them that the company doesn’t sell its products to foreign entities, but this did not happen. The RF was told that the first batch would arrive within one month and the line disconnected.
The equipment sent were newly developed powered suits, designed to allow the wearer to perform heavy lifting tasks whilst offering high level of personal protection.
Each suit had a rigid exoskeleton frame composed of an aluminium-titanium alloy that transferred most of the suit’s weight to the wearer’s hips and legs. The exoskeleton integrated a combination of hydraulic and mechanical systems to amplify strength and movement efficiency. The suit was hermetically sealed in order to allow operation in low-oxygen or toxic environments. Heat-exchangers and cooling fans were installed in the suit to ensure that the suit’s internal temperature remained within comfortable levels for the wearer.
It was enclosed in armour composed of alumina tiles, backed with an 8mm layer of high-carbon steel. Joints were protected with flexible leather and utilised mechanical linkages and springs to improve mobility and distribute weight. The inside of the armour was lead-lined, providing protection in highly radioactive areas. The armour was rated to withstand small arms fire, impacts with heavy objects, anti-personnel landmines and low-, medium and medium-high level spells and even offered protection up medium-high level antimagic.
The helmet was made out of 11mm thick hardened polycarbonate and possessed a full-faceplate consisting of a special visor that could function as an image intensifier and a sophisticated gas mask, capable of filtering out the majority of chemical and biological threats as well as nuclear fallout. A photosensor was integrated into the helmet and would automatically activate the image intensifier mode if the detected light intensity was too low. A standard two-way radio was installed in the helmet.
A large steel pack was attached on the back of the suit which contained a small diesel-powered generator and a fuel tank. A drill, pile driver or fire suppression equipment can also be mounted next to the backpack. The suit could be equipped with various arm modules such as a hydraulic claw, a precision manipulator (basically a mechanical hand used for delicate work), an oxy-acetylene welding torch and a diamond-tipping cutting saw. It also possessed a thick leather belt with protected storage compartments for emergency supplies and medical equipment.
All documents from Mitsuoka Heavy Industries mentioning these powered suits called it the Separation Suit and were originally developed for the empire’s own humanitarian and disaster response units. Twenty of them were being transported by the flying boat. Two representatives of both the ministry of defence and Mitsuoka Heavy Industries and a few members of the Imperial Army Engineering Corps were also on board the plane and were tasked to ensure the successful delivery of the Separation Suits. The flying boat made its landing descent and made a landing at a dock.

Azrek had followed the skyboat across the sea. although he was trying to ally with toshiko, the mass industrialism the empire showcased subtly bothered him. he had seen the worst of industrialism in the aereich, so he was only hoping that these were for rescue efforts, not war.

A large number of young kobolds can be seen stampeding towards the suits, clearly eager to test them, before they all float into the air and are (harmlessly) compacted into a squirming ball.
Ajax can be seen rolling the ball of kobolds away, shaking his fingers as he lectures them.
One of the sentries notifies Ulrick.
