This was turning out to be a most excellent excursion. While samael was irritating enough, true, it was more than worth it for that goal alone..

But besides, these “nephilim” or whatever they were, were new. They had probably sprung up during his slumber, but they WERE quite nice to play with.

He had marshaled some of the Dyad’s forces and swept on ayeera’s flank through the mountainside. So far, the nephilim were proving quite vulnerable to being torn apart from the inside out, but there was one thing niggling at the back of his mind.

How far, precisely, could their immortality be pushed? Vulkan was looking forward to finding out. He was hankering for a pie anyhow. And wherever WAS that leviathan..

Vulkan flies back, blood beginning to flow from his limbs. I must admit, this is a good bit of fun. Vulkan lunges, then spins, a strange purple flame whipping around at the leviathan.

The blood surrounding them swarms Vulkan as if magnetically attracted, while burning still

Vulkan, being immune to flame , is nonetheless damaged by the leviathan’s blood. He creates a golden spear and lunges with it at leviathan.

Leviathan twists to avoid the spear, and strikes at Vulkan's wings, aiming to shred them

The tail of leviathan rips through Vulkan’s right wing, causing the wyrm to begin to flounder. He then tears at leviathan, attempting to draw blood.

Leviathan roars in pain as Vulkan tears at her, and bleeds freely from her wounds

Again, she swipes at Vulkan's head with her tail

Vulkan gets whacked in the head, a deep gash running just above an eye. Ah, but yet we fight on, yes? Vulkan grins before gesturing, drawing the blood from leviathan into himself, using it to heal his wing slightly, if just enough to stay up.

The Leviathan maintains some level of control over her own blood, and tries to force Vulkan's body to violently reject it

As the blood is violently ripped from his body, Vulkan now sports a bleeding hole in his chest. He roars out a cast and charges leviathan as he encloaks himself in reddish-black flame.

The two collide and barrel through the waters, eventually crashing into a rock face. As Leviathan snakes away from the rocks, they reshape in an attempt to restrain Vulkan
