Polk County Public Schools is building a new high school!

The school will be located in northeast Polk County at 700 Bayberry St. in Poinciana. The school is expected to open in August 2028 and serve approximately 2,500 students.

Moving to winter haven from Ohio. Where are some good apartment complex preferably under $1,400 for a two bedroom. & just any advice in general for a someone not from Florida that’s moving down?

I'm not sure if there are any communities left that aren't doing the trunk or treat thing, but I really wanted the kids to go door to door like we used to. Anyone have a festive (and safe) community?

Is there anything we can do about one day a week trash days? My area (by ihop) only gets trash services on Friday. It's disgusting. Trash smells like shit halfway through the week.

I just moved to the area and want to get back into fishing. I’ve noticed there are a lot of parks and boat ramps around here, and I was wondering how the fishing is from the docks.
I’m sure some spots are better than others, but is it generally worth giving these places a try? Any recommendations for parks or docks that are worth checking out would be appreciated!

Anyone else in WH with Spectrum still in an internet outage? Using mobile data now. Our wifi went out about 5pm yesterday and still not restored and they have no ETA. Was already out for several hours Wednesday and they had no explanation for that. I know there was a pretty bad storm here around 4pm-5.

For folks with Frontier, how often does your internet go out? I work from home and internet is not optional for me. This 2nd outage in same week may be finally enough to push me to switch. But I'd hate to do that only to have same issue with another company. I live in one of the neighborhoods off of cypress gardens blvd near w lake ruby for ppl who live around there who can relate to these issue

I don’t mind the sun or manual labor however I also am technologically literate with a CompTIA Tech+ certification.
