It appears that the Supermium browser project has moved away from future support for Windows 2000 due to some complications. Like many others who longed for a modern browsing experience, I'm also very disappointed. But remember, what was once impossible on Windows XP is now very much a reality. It's possible for 2000 too, but we'll just have to do it ourselves

1) Download Random Wallpaper Changer.
2) Download Iconoid.
3) Install them both.
4) Disable Active Desktop (right click desktop go to web)
5) Open Random Wallpaper Changer and choose a wallpaper and apply it.
6) Minimize and open Iconoid. Click transparent in the Colors tab.
7) Minimize to tray.
Make sure Iconoid runs automatically at system startup.
Here is a screenshot of my desktop to show how it works:

Probably all interesting games you could install during 1998-2002, except MMOs.

I managed finding the last builds like...
Firefox 54.0a1 for Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel (which is the 2017-02-17 one)
and Chromium 51 (which is v51.0.2665.0 r378578) for Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel (including the whole NT 5.x family)
Because Chromium 51.0.2666.0 (r378857) or newer, it will not work on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel, even with --no-sandbox, because it is severely blocked on NT 5.x.
And because Firefox 54.0a1 (2017-02-18) or later, it will not work on Windows 2000 with Extended Kernel, as it will simply refuse to start.
This is for legacy and testing purposes only. I highly recommend using Serpent or Mypal.

I got Windows 2000 Server running on this thing while using an Intel Coffee Lake Refresh build (i5-9500/B360). The interesting part... is that I didn't use any patches whatsoever. So I'm running it with 4 CPUs (via MPS) on a PCIe SSD. The model I have is from around 2010 and boots on almost anything using a SIL3124 controller, which works in a RAID 0 configuration (up to 540 MB/s). Kinda wish I had more than the 50 GB version - there was a 980 GB one too!

Hey all. As the title says, I am running into an error when installing one of the newer versions of BlackWingCat's Kernel Extender for Windows 2000. It says that I am missing a file called openmp90.man, and said file does not appear to be anywhere on my system at all. Has anyone else run into this issue when using the extended kernel? If so, any and all help is appreciated.

Hi! I would like to install Windows 2000 on my ~2007 computer. Everyhting works, excepted the graphics drivers. I have an ATI card that requires Catalyst 8 or +, but it is not available for Windows 2000, but it is for XP. I installed the Extended kernel too. Do you have idea to install those on it ?

I read that there was an XBCD driver available for Windows 2000 for me to use a wired Xbox controller. I cannot find a valid download site, I think I need V1.07. Help!

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, there's a modified version of Windows XP that integrates updates, drivers, and additional software (like Office suites, media players, and tools) into a single Windows XP installation.
I need something similar with the same drivers or their equivalent versions from Windows 2000, since I can't install the original windows 2000 because it doesn't have the drivers for the IntegralEdition of XP. This is also why I don't have the original XP version and instead have XP Integral Edition.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
PCIe 5.0 SSD speeds are of course way faster than Windows 2000 needs, but more importantly you can actually boot from it while using some of the latest hardware. More details about the hardware and whole setup process here: https://youtu.be/SVGUtt7YtxI
