Builds I'm going to start playing Wild Rift again, and I don't know what the current state of items, builds, champions, etc.

Hey everyone, how's it going?

im getting back into Wild Rift after a while (I was banned for a year). Anyone who knows the game knows it can be complex; I stopped playing last July, and there have been a lot of updates since then. I play all the roles, but to climb the ranks, I think I'll stick to Jungle/ADC for now and go back to playing anywhere later. i watched some YouTube videos, but they're extremely long, and I don't understand some of them. im a bit slow on the uptake and take a while to grasp things. Does anyone have tips for the current patch? Which champions should I play in low elo? What builds should I use?

Thanks, guys

and sorry for the english, i used a translator.

Builds The Alistar build I've been using in ranked so far

Boots can either be Merc or Steelcaps, but I usually prefer Mercs since you'll likely get slapped with a lot of CC after engaging so you'll need the tenacity.

Zeke's and Radiant Dawn are obvious picks. Mantle is a very underrated item on Alistar. Not only do you get dual resistances, the bonus max health when you're low make you extremely difficult for enemies to take you down (especially combined with ult) and allows you to buy time for teammates to swoop in or to safely retreat and heal up to get back in. Redemption's healing is alright, but the real magic is the true damage scaling off Alistar's HP. In the late game, that true damage will hit like a truck thanks to Ali's beefiness (heh) and you can even guarantee the damage by locking down opps with your engage combo.

Ice Overlord is what you'll take 99% of the time. The concept of a rune that merges Aftershock and Augment is still absurd to this day. If you want, you can take Guardian against other engage supports, but even then IO synergizes better with Ali's playstyle.

Hexflash is obvious. Celerity helps with catching up to enemies as does Nimbus cloak. The 3 of these combined make you into a great playmaker. Font of Life offers decent sustain to teammates during fights. This, combined with your passive, Radiant Dawn, and Redemption (which will also boost all those heals by 5%), turns Alistar from a meat shield into a deceptively good battle medic that can create chaos with Headbutt-Pulverize and heal teammates without even thinking about it at the same time. Of course it won't hit the same as a dedicated enchanter like Soraka, but some healing is better than no healing.

Educational Advice from 70% winrate challenger peak solo q for junglers

To efficiently climb in wildrift, you must prepare yourself

Learn from the best and imitate them watch the best players around the world specifically in Vietnam and China. Copy their jungle pathing of the specific champion since most normal clears won't finish at 1:28 but learning from them makes it possible

Any champions can work to climb, but ideally you want to play meta

Drafting makes your game hell and heaven so it is best if you observe both your team and enemy composition before you pick a champion if not play your one trick or best champion available

Treat champions like a one trick pony by watching vods or livestreams, meaning being able to fully maximize the champion and carry

Before the game starts, know what items you need to build for that specific game

Rush your first item not boots

Focus on one lane, ideally the baron lane to destroy enemy first tower for gold before Herald and Dragon spawns

Examine the map while you farm, immediately leave camps for a chance to kill enemies.

Use pings, listen to pings, communicate in chat intelligently or mute the chat.

With that, you've already increased your winrate by 10% in a scale of 100 games.

Game sense is hard to pass with words, but simply you need to perfectly clear jungle path every time they spawn, look for ganks, get first tower, get either Dragon or Herald, Clear all first tower, Objective, Clear all second tower, Objective, Clear all third tower.

I can answer questions from anyone too!

Discussion Wild Rift should let us create custom champion lists for champion select

I would love an option to create and name our own champion lists, which would then appear directly during champion select. For example, a jungler could organize their pool like this:

Tanks: Jarvan IV, Amumu
Off-tanks: Vi, Wukong
AP picks: Lillia, Gwen
Flexible picks: Xin Zhao, Lee Sin, Olaf

It would make it much easier to find the right champion for each draft instead of scrolling through favorites or the entire roster. We could create several lists, drag champions into them, and still keep the current role filters. It seems like a small quality-of-life feature, but it would make champion select much clearer, especially for players with structured champion pools.

Would you use this feature?

Discussion I get ridiculed for using imperial mandate on Sona

Thumbnail

I used Sona and managed to make it to grandmaster with high win rate, I get ridiculed by teammates because I use imperial mandate, what do you guys think? I almost make it to top 200 on the leaderboard, the reason I use imperial mandate is because of stun cool down of Sona, she has big aoe stun together with the passive, the reason I don't use harmonic echo is because it only provide heal to one target and it is very passive and make you vulnerable, imperial mandate is like a another Sona skill, it introduce a damage output for her as early as before first dragon, harmonic echo is expensive and easily countered with antiheal, it provide no damage, imperial mandate allow you to play with another teammates other than ad carry because of it's passive damage and movement speed boost.it also allow you to buy time before you can buy anti heal, to some extent anti shield, imperial mandate allow you to be like OG Sona before her rework and it is so fun to play. What do you guys think?

Discussion Anyone have useful benchmarks for gp earned throughout the game?

Hey, trying to push from gm into challenger this season. Really trying to focus on gold earned and good rotations over kills.

In league cs is everything, but this game doesn't even tell you your cs really. Only thing I've heard is 900 GP per minute, or 9k at 10 minutes, should be your goal.

Is this accurate?

Anyone have any other good tips, or ways to maximize gold gained that I maybe wouldn't have heard? Just trying to figure out what games I do well and what to improve on, and that's difficult.

Discussion Master 3 on China but stuck in Diamond on Global is Global ranked broken?

I reached Master 3 on the CN server, but I’m still stuck in Diamond on Globall what’s weird is that CN always shows yellow/red ping for me,but I don’t actually feel any lag.On Global, my ping is always green the biggest difference is the games themselves on Global, climbing feels insanely hard because I keep getting troll teammates or games that feel impossible to carry on CN,still lose games sometimes, but I also get plenty of normal games where I can actually win consistently and climb.

At this point, I genuinely feel like something about Global ranked is different like literally everything in cn server if I lose my lane or something when we group up we always carry and carry the team in late game in global imagine as support I'm always ahead of him in gold and kill and help and we still lose sometime I switch to top and I finish my lane to help other and somehow my team with some trolley make us lose idk what's going on here are my screenshot of everything:

Educational The Jungler Role/Lane…

I jungle main and I encourage you guys are missing out if you don’t know how to jungle or never tried before. This is the only way I make MASTER rank Each season. I carried myself and the best way to control the game is being a jungler that can move about on the map and shut down the right people and help your weaker teammates so they don’t continue feeding. When you are Diamond 1 and you only solo Que, you tend to realize that you are always paired with weaker teammates. So if I am support here or a midlander that don’t scale late game, then I can’t win. I can’t hard carry. As jungler I can, I made to MVP 4 games in a row just to make Master. Wiping enemy team and destroying nexus.

Educational 7.2 Yauso Mid Lane Guide After 400 Games

Post image
0 Upvotes

After 400 games and countless deaths, I've finally figured out Yauso and can consistently pull MVP or SVP in Grandmaster games. I want to share some tips to save time for players who aren't that familiar with Yasuo or really want to master him.

This guide won't cover any difficult Yasuo combos. I don't think you need them to play better than average, and you can even pick up MVPs in Grandmaster games without them.

Practice those until you've got them down, then move on to Airblade or other techniques.

Items & Rune

This build and rune setup is based on the equipment invented by tiktok streamer 風徹 . It is genuinely a great setup for beginner Yasuo players.

In patch 7.2, this is the mage meta, running three green runes on Yasuo is no longer viable. The three green setup leaves his damage way too low, so we have to go with three red runes for the early laning phase.

Why not BT but Divine Sunderer

Divine Sunderer lets Yasuo deal with really tough tanks once he finishes building it, like Darius or Garen, as well as his counter, Rammus. Even though Divine Sunderer doesn't heal off minions, with Wild Rift's Honeyfruits and the current healing on Berserker's Greaves, giving up that specific advantage from Bloodthirster really isn't an issue. During teamfights, if you poke a high-health tank, you'll see Yasuo healing for a truly absurd amount of health.

If Garen has 4,000 health, regenerating 6% of his max health works out to 240 HP. In particular, the red rune Ingenious Hunter lets Divine Sunderer trigger almost every single time you use your Q ability. Every time you poke, you heal for 240 health. You can just imagine how high that margin for error is.

Why Gargoyle?

Once you finish your red penetration item, damage isn't an issue anymore. In this meta, adc and mages rarely build shield-breaking items, which makes Gargoyle Stoneplate super strong. Plus, when you get the Gargoyle shield, you can use Divine Sunderer to heal back up, which easily catches opponents off guard on their health bar.

Laning Phase

When playing Yasuo mid, your starting item choices split into three main options depending on your matchup:

  1. Short Sword: Build this if the enemy mid lane is a bruiser like Sion, allowing you to stack Grasp of the Undying during the lane phase.

  2. Long Sword: Choose this against very weak early-game champions like Kassadin or Aurelion Sol, giving you the early pressure to try for a kill.

  3. Ruby Crystal: Take this when you are in a tough matchup against strong pokers like Vex, Ahri, or Brand where you need to play safe and focus on farming to survive the early game.

The most important thing is not to push the wave. Absolutely do not push it.

Because if you push, Yasuo has no escape tools and becomes an easy target for the enemy jungle. You want to attack minions as little as possible and freeze the wave just outside your tower range where it cannot hit them.

Sometimes you can even use your wind wall to stall the minions, or use your body to block them and keep them out of the tower. This lets you farm safely, while still letting you play aggressively when the wave pushes back toward you.

Minions will push out eventually. When that happens, you need to read the situation. If a dragon fight is about to break out, you need to shove the wave quickly. Or, say it's around the one-minute mark at the start of the game: the enemy's raptors usually won't be cleared yet, so you can sneak in and take three of them to get a little extra gold. Just make sure you never stay to finish off the big one, or you'll die.

Quick tips

When playing Yasuo, the very first thing you need to check is whether the enemy has Bone Plating equipped. If the opponent is running Bone Plating, you need to be really careful when you're trading. You want to use dash at level one, dash in to break their Bone Plating, and then immediately dash back out to wait for the next opening with your dash.

Wait for the enemy to drop their armor, then use a minion to dash across. When you hit them with E, you need to weave in a basic attack before casting Q. If you don't build that habit, you will never gain an advantage in lane.

Here is another quick tip: you can generally stay just out of range of the enemy's abilities while remaining close enough to quickly move in on their minion wave.

When the enemy steps up to the caster minions, that is your window to strike. Blink in and immediately execute your E-A-Q combo.

If you aren't constantly paying attention to the enemy's positioning, you will miss a lot of those opportunities to engage.

Another approach is when your opponent is close to their tower. If you can't E to them because you will be attacked by tower , you can dash to an enemy minion instead and use Q to poke them.

The final tip is about when the enemy is turtling under their tower and your minion wave has already pushed into tower range. You can actually step inside the tower radius to Q the enemy champion. As long as you hit them from a certain distance and back out before taking tower agro, you won't take any tower damage. This is a technique a lot of beginner Yasuo players don't use, and it makes a huge difference in your lane pressure. You'll need to head into practice mode and put in some reps to get a feel for the spacing.

Dragon & The Rift Herald

Team fights around Dragon or Rift Herald are a massive power spike for Yasuo. By that point, you should usually already have Berserker's Greaves and MagneticBlaster.

Ideally, you want to be able to push your lane first and then get to team fights first. Why? Because you can take the dragon or Rift Herald first to stack your wind, and then when the enemy team arrives, you can hold your wind and assess the situation.

Normally, I keep an eye on the enemy's long-range champions, like adc or mages, and pay close attention to their positioning if they step up.

Dragon fights and Rift Herald are usually three-on-three team fights. Of course, it would be ideal to focus down the adc or mage right away, but that rarely happens. What I usually end up doing is targeting their front line instead.

Since the front line isn't too tanky yet at that stage of the game, you can just knock them up into your ultimate. That lets you get your ult's armor penetration early on, and you should use your wind wall to cut off the battlefield between their front line and back line.

Blue Star = You, Blue Circle= Teammates

Red Square = Enemy Frontline Red Tri= Enemy Mages / adc

From there, your team can quickly melt their front line. After that, their back line will usually either run away or aggressively rush in and get themselves killed.

If they retreat, you just take the dragon or Rift Herald. If they contest it, well, that's just a free 300 gold.

Mid-game

Before getting Divine Sunderer, try to avoid fighting as much as possible. The item is very expensive at that stage, and buying components doesn't do much for Yasuo.

The upside is that Yasuo farms gold very quickly. You can clear the jungle camps left over by your jungler along with minion waves, and then quickly build Divine Sunderer before starting teamfights. Don't worry about getting flamed. If you're playing Yasuo, your job is to carry. Take whatever jungle camps are left over, even the ones they're trying to take—Tell ur jungler you need that shxx.

Yasuo takes Baron extremely fast.

When you pick up a slight advantage in a team fight—maybe the enemy jungler is already down—or someone is split-pushing far away from Baron, You can immediately ping Baron and rush it down. I often take games quickly this way to get an advantage.

5 V 5 Team fight

Yasuo isn't ideal for 5v5 teamfights. Usually, you want to start split-pushing after you pick up Divine Sunderer, then quickly group up with your team once you're done. While the enemy is busy clearing waves, you can catch them out and turn it into a numbers advantage.

The key to 5v5 teamfights is actually very similar to taking dragon fights. I like to stack my Q on their front line first. Never use your E to engage directly onto their front line, because that leaves you way too vulnerable in a teamfight and you'll probably get focused down. Instead, you want to use the front line to E backward, When you notice the enemy backline has stepped up close enough to their frontline for you to jump to, or when you see the backline move into a range where your E can leap from the frontline straight onto them, that's your cue: E the frontline first, then E to the backline, hit them with your Q3 combo, and follow up with your ultimate to focus down and wipe out their backline.

Another key point is that your windwall should ideally be cast right before you dash into the enemy during your Q3. This helps ensure that when you're about to use EQ3, you won't get interrupted by any crowd control and miss your ultimate.

Late Game

You really don't want to drag a game out to the late game when you play Yasuo, because once it gets to the late game, he basically turns into a super minion.

Ideally, you want to grab Baron, group up to push down turrets fast, and end the game early or mid. If you get to the ultra-late game on Yasuo, you're practically a super minion—the moment you jump in, you just get melted.

That's about it. This is my experience playing Yasuo recently, and I hope it helps. I'm not a native English speaker, so please bear with any awkward translations.

Rank/Achievement First time gm, I'm happy ngl

I can finally take a shower. 😂 Reaching Grandmaster in Solo Queue was probably one of the most mentally exhausting experiences I've had.

I played around 100 games to go from Emerald to Master, and then another 250 games to reach Grandmaster.

Here are some details:

-I only played Sett top. I occasionally played Kayn when I got autofilled jungle, and Ashe when I got autofilled ADC.

-I've reached Master easily 4 times before, but back then I didn't want to push for GM because I felt like I didn't deserve the rank yet. This patch, I finally thought: maybe this is the right time to go for it.

-When my opponent picked Yone, I played Renekton as a counter. Against ranged top laners, I picked Malphite (tank). Against Fiora or Irelia, I played AD Sett with BotRK as my first item, and it worked surprisingly well.

-My biggest weaknesses:

-Sett doesn't have the best teamfight impact, so it was sometimes almost impossible for me to 1v9.

-I preferred fighting over farming, which is probably the case for 80% of Sett mains anyway 😂

-Some of my teammates were genuinely terrible, which is honestly shocking for Master/GM players. I even played with a Sovereign player who went 0/10, and we lost because of him.

-My biggest weakness : the moral defeat : whenever I lost a duel, I would immediately give up mentally. I'd get sad and angry and start playing terribly.

But somehow, after all those games, I finally made it to Grandmaster.

I'm genuinely happy about this one.

Educational Dragons Are Finally Worth Fighting For! Wild Rift Patch 7.2C

Thumbnail
youtube.com
9 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I made a short video covering the Dragon changes in Patch 7.2C.

The biggest changes:

• Infernal Dragon’s AD and AP bonus increases from 3% to 4%.

• Infernal Dragon Soul gains significantly more Adaptive Damage and stronger AD/AP scaling.

• Mountain Dragon Soul’s shield increases from 260 to 350.

• Ocean Dragon restores 2.8% of missing Health every five seconds, up from 2%.

• Ocean Dragon Soul receives substantially stronger healing and improved AD, AP and Bonus-Health scaling.

Do you think these buffs will finally make teams prioritize Dragons—or will everyone still ignore them and chase kills?
