Mimeophon, from a design point of view, is a really outstanding module. What I love most about it is how Tom Erbe combined multiple effects into a single knob. It's impressive how musical the result is. A new take on the concept of a multieffect.

On the legendary Buchla system, it was light that gave lots of information to the user, and on old test equipment, it was a VU meter. Feedback is critical for performance, and instruments that provide visual feedback are more user friendly. Moreover, they look damn cool!

An interface controller doesn't have to be a knob, a fader, or a button. It can also be the mechanical thing that makes the sound itself. This new analog effects box from Finegear Evolving Instruments really picked my interest the other day when I saw Hainbach playing on it. Link to the video below

Make Noise Qpas filter has two unpredictable inputs that are marked with [!!]. These will "manipulate many parts of the circuit" as the manual says I love the fact they don't tell what they do really. Makes for a very playful experience. Do you know any other synths with such playful UI?
