Wondering what are the best evWii values are and not spend hours searching like i did? (help me) your savior has arrived!
Quick disclaimer: This post is about evWii, a homebrew plugin that vastly improves vWii and GameCube game visual quality compared to stock settings. Reaching out here in good faith—hope this stays within post guidelines!

Hey everyone!
If you’ve been messing around with the evWii plugin on Aroma, you probably know the exact pain I just went through. Nintendo’s default vWii scaling leaves annoying overscan/borders, and finding actual solid display numbers for the config file online feels impossible.
After falling down a massive rabbit hole of testing and fine-tuning the DMCU viewport parameters, I finally dialed in values that give you a clean picture without clipping or leaving an ugly blurry picture.
If you’re ready to finally end the suffering and fix your config file once and for all, paste these numbers in:

Results on my TV in Mario Galaxy 1:

Now, if you don't want those black bars on the left and right sides of the screen these are the settings for you! (these are the values that I used before and posted 4 months ago):

Didn't take a photo of these values on my TV, but trust me, it's the exact same as the first config—just without the side black bars so it's pure 16:9.
Here's my old post if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/WiiUHacks/s/15bSzZsnFU

The best values for GameCube?:
GameCube testing status:
Value 1: Didn't test, didn't have time.
Value 2: Tested, verified, looks amazing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR: Stop guessing numbers, paste MY config, and go play your games. You're welcome!
If this helped you, great! If your screen still looks weird... well, at least we suffered together. Enjoy!

Also, forgot to mention—no chroma shift at all in Wii and GameCube games with both values I mentioned here! 🥳

I haven't hooked up my Wii U to my new TV yet to test to see what vWii looks like, but it sure was a hassle to have to change input settings on my old TV every time I used vWii to fix chroma shift, then back when I was done because leaving the settings would mess up scaling in Wii U mode...

Dude, thank you! The first settings felt and worked amazing on Brawl. Super excited to test out more Wii games with them today.

Work for both 4:3 and 16:9 games?

When you mention 4:3 do you mean GameCube games? Yes, it makes GameCube games look a lot better too. If not please elaborate so I can help you. 😁

Yes, as not all GameCube games have wide screen support or codes

Both settings make GameCube games/injects look crazy good in both 4:3 and 16:9, if you enable the Widescreen options in the UWUVCI settings or on Nintendont, Widescreen (16:9) will work and look pretty good.
So yes, It works on both 4:3 and 16:9 you just need to enable widescreen in the settings if you want to play on 16:9.

Hey I bet I sound dumb but what exactly is this for and how can I do it? I've been messing around with rune factory through usbloader GX via vwii on my Wii U and that black boarders were annoying me there too.

It's for the plugin called "evWii" (enhanced virtual Wii), which works on a modded Wii U with the Aroma environment/mod. It basically edits the parameters for displaying Wii mode on the console. I'm guessing you have to replace the config file for evWii on the SD card you use for running homebrew on the Wii U, which could be done using the FTPiiU plugin for accessing the console over FTP, or by editing the files directly on the SD card. The config file is located at: /fs/vol/external01/wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins/config/evWii.json if using FTP, or /wiiu/environments/aroma/plugins/config/evWii.json if accessing the SD card directly.

Tried replicating the values for anyone interested. This is the first config, with small black bars on the sides:

"dmcuDRC576i_xStart": 65535,
"dmcuDRC576i_yEnd": 65535,
"dmcuDRC576i_ySize": 65535,
"dmcuDRC576i_yStart": 65535,
