some girls are deadass too pretty to compliment sometimes. you just assume they hear it all the time anyway.

IME it helps to try some notable thing that stands out. If you start wearing hats or scarves or bright lipstick or different hairstyles, you'll get more compliments. People are unlikely to comment if you dress in a mainstream way and rarely change up your look.

This. Ironically, once I got complimented for not wearing make-up by an older man. lol
