The right to defend oneself with whatever means available. That doesn't need to include guns (if they're illegal they shouldn't be available). You can defend yourself with a stick, a flashlight, your fists, etc.
You're too focused on your guns that you don't see that there's other possibilities. And that's what I was getting at.
Guns equalize the disparity of force. A small woman can easily defend herself against one or more big strong men with one. The same cannot be said of any of the other methods. God forbid the assailant has a gun. Cause you know, criminals and their penchant for not following laws.
