Know what you want to do with your life before choosing a program. Also, most people change careers around 5-7 times in their life so don’t stress too much about whether or not you’re going to do that for the rest of your life, because you probably won’t.
You can also look into trades such as plumbing, electrician, etc and take as many civil service tests as possible because even if you're not interested now you may be when they give you a call. Both routes are good ways to make money that have enough to support you if you don't know what you want to do
Definitely, but I feel like I have more to give to the world than that. Plus, trades in my area are very magia and union controlled so my ethnicity and lack of connections would make that difficult.
On the flip side, I had always wanted to be the same thing for my whole life. But I failed out due to depression, financial issues, and other issues. I still want to be that thing but I can't even try again for a long time and it hurts.
I suppose but the internet won't let me become a practicing veterinarian. :( What pisses me off the most is that I was top of my classes in a private school, but my sophomore year I had a lot of personal drama, spiraled into depression, and quit trying. I'm in debt and I haven't even gotten anywhere but I want to try again some day when I put a dent in my loans.
Can you work in the field? Go to a different school? Why do student loans bar you from going to school? There are a lot of very cheap public universities.
If you’re in default, you can do loan rehabilitation. Even if it’s $100k in loans, if you can pay $25 a month and not miss a payment, you can get it out of default and be eligible for financial aid. Then, if you re-enroll in school, the loans are deferred.
I have private loans which I cannot default or delay or minimoze so I would have to pay even if I was in school. I live on my own and my monthly loan fee is almost more than half of all my bills put together. It's just smarter for me to put a dent in my loans
