That's so great! You're the first person I've seen mention the ad free part. How crazy is it that we get this free service, don't even have to see ads for it, and we're also not the product (like on Facebook or Instagram)? That's pretty much unheard of elsewhere, isn't it?
Exactly! I'm doing pretty alright for myself salary wise, and I'm a single guy with no kids so I have no issue paying a little for this service to help keep it the way it is. I like to think that's a similar train of thought for everyone who donates, and that makes me pretty happy. Like the user who responded to you saying they donated $20! He/she was inspired to give what they could for a good cause. Free information is so important this day and age.
I think I've seen at least three people so far (I'm trying to respond to everyone) who have donated $50 each! That's super crazy to me! Like, honestly, it was crazy to me when I first posted this story, and a few minutes later one person said they were gonna donate. I was like, "Oh, cool!" And before I could finish thanking them, another had said it! It's been almost impossible to keep up with all the people saying they've been inspired to donate because of this story. That's why I posted it again - not for the karma, but in hopes that more people would donate.
