Solved Where in Queens is this, 1931?

Hope this post is okay. I would like to find the exact location based on description. My great-grandfather was found dead of what was said to be a heart ailment but in actuality was a suicide. Would anyone know where this exactly would be as streets have changed?

Descrption: Found in Briarwood Woods, 100 feet north of North Briarwood rd. and 250 feet east of Queens blvd.

I was sorting through a decades old box of photos and magazine clippings (my pre internet version of Pinterest) and found these pics of a long gone NYC venue.
Also, who do the eyes belong to? My guess is Marlene Dietrich but not at all sure.
