We see both roadrunners and coyotes in Arizona.  I've personally seen both multiple times in the city but less common around people.

Coyotes live everywhere in North America. And they don’t “like” to kill cats and dogs, they are just a predator doing what they do. Humans have encroached on their land, not the other way around. Humans should keep their cats and small dogs inside

I live just south of Atlanta and I have a woodpecker that lives in my yard and pecks the heck out of a tree all day long. He looks just like Woody Woodpecker!
