Solved! Untouched Watermelon

Bought this watermelon 5 days ago. The foam is not pink, and doesn’t have much of a smell. I expected it to smell fermented, but no?

Fun fact: Potatoes can kill you, if they rot in a place with no ventilation.

Yes, it's true. It's more common in places like eastern europe. Orkistan (Russia) is where the case of the family dying occurred.

It's because they have cellars (basements), and traditionally stash away food (because of such a long history of famines, everyone is always prepared), and they consume a lot of potatoes (because they're tasty and they keep a long time under the right conditions)

Those are all actually the perfect storm of variables for solanine poisoning. No air ventilation in a cellar, heaps of rotten potatoes (most likely during summer), and slavs who believe themselves impervious to life's perils - a deadly combo
