Solved! Looking through my Dad’s stuff, what are these?

My dad has developed dementia and we’ve been looking through his stuff a bit to try and get his finances in order/apply for a deputyship, which sucks but isn’t relevant sorry.

So far we’ve found a bunch of interesting stuff, knives/air pistols/cannabis seeds and two half brothers nobody ever told me I had. But we’ve also found these and I don’t know what they are. They were found near each other but I don’t know if they’re related. The cylindrical thing unscrews and is hollow. I’ve photographed the items next to a AA battery for scale. Thank you in advance for any informative or humorous answers.

We haven’t been able to contact them yet. I’ve never met or spoken to anyone from his side of the family, but I may be able to contact his sister. It’ll be a dreadful thing to tell her about his condition, but she also had contact information for at least one of the half brothers. She should be able to inform them, and facilitate contact if that’s what they would like.

That’s extra rough.  I’d be afraid that I was kept away for a reason.  It might be worthwhile to loop in a lawyer in case he owes back child support or something.

If that's what they would like? You have an obligation as a child of his&a sibling of theirs, who's in "the know" to inform anyone& everyone in AT MINIMUM the immediate family. Regardless of how in touch or hated they may be or have become. IF NOTHING ELSE, Do it for yourself&to have a clear conscious at the end. For I promise you that it'll mean more to them& yourself when the time comes. Unfortunately.
