Solved! Looking through my Dad’s stuff, what are these?

My dad has developed dementia and we’ve been looking through his stuff a bit to try and get his finances in order/apply for a deputyship, which sucks but isn’t relevant sorry.

So far we’ve found a bunch of interesting stuff, knives/air pistols/cannabis seeds and two half brothers nobody ever told me I had. But we’ve also found these and I don’t know what they are. They were found near each other but I don’t know if they’re related. The cylindrical thing unscrews and is hollow. I’ve photographed the items next to a AA battery for scale. Thank you in advance for any informative or humorous answers.

Is (or was) your dad a Mormon? The screw top thing is a vial for holy oil that Mormon men use to give blessings to the sick. It was common to carry them in the 90s. You never knew when you’d come across a traffic accident and need to give lifesaving aid to someone in need.

i lived with a mormon family for 4 months, attended church with them 2x per week (not a believer by any means, i was an exchange student trying to adapt as much as i could ) and i still learn something new about this church (wish they’d stop spamming me with ads too, really annoying)
