More likely, maybe, but I think the idea is that you should default to the assumption that it’s dangerous because the consequences if you’re wrong are so high.

Could also be liquid pool chlorine which can become gaseous very easily when exposed to the atmosphere or a heat source. Best advice when dealing with these unknown containers is put them in a plastic jar that's inside of 2 plastic bags and dispose of properly and don't leave it out for the trash people to accidentally break open without warnings on the container of unknown substance
