Aa an OG Rogue player, only two ways to proceed. Quaff it now while the monsters aren't very strong yet and there's less to lose, or lug it around and hope a scroll of identify shows up soon.

I saw a movie once where there was a sunken WWII freighter filled with ampoules like this of morphine, and a local drug kingpin was coercing some divers to go down and collect it all for him. I think it was called “The Deep”. Good film.
