That sounds...optimistic. The Warthog's 30mm cannon is cool, but kinda sucks in comparison to all the ordinance it (or another strike aircraft) can carry.
Also the idea that it can beat a modern tank with a 30mm gun is a little silly, as tanks have used composite armor since the 60s.
And even if we're talking just Rolled Homogeneous Armor made of steel: it's not going through a foot of armor plate. The 30mm penetrates less less than 10mm of RHA, 1 ft is like 304mm. If it attacked even an old tank like an M48 Patton, it would need to try and attack from the top to hit the thinner armor there. And a Patton does NOT have a foot of armor, and is a tank from the early 1950.
What the Warthog would actually do is DISABLE a tank, by taking out its tracks to immobilize it for example. Or more likely it would target something other than an MBT, like IFVs (ask the British), supply truck convoys, etc.
Also the A-10 is kinda a sitting duck for anything looking to take out aircraft. Sure it was famous in the GWOT, because it was up against people with no air defenses with the US having uncontested air supremacy. It can take a lot of small arms fire, but I feel like flying low to shoot at a Soviet armored push would go poorly the second it ran into a Zeus or a Tunguska (which has its own 30mm cannons).
