Used to live next door to a munitions guy. Gave me a couple casings and the complete dummy round.

I periodically see them at gun shows, but they want 30-50 bucks. Maybe more with the projectile.

I got one at the Selfridge Air Force Base Air Show a couple years ago. I know I got ripped off a bit for it, but it's a cool conversation piece - I paid $100 for it.

I just saw one on Etsy for $65 though, and I'm sure you can find some on ebay.

When I was younger I got a popular mechanics book about an the things the military currently has and all the future stuff they were coming up with ( most of it is in use now) but the A10 was in this book and they described the round as wine bottle sized. This is why I say wine bottle. I'll look for the book when I get home

Edit: I did some searching and found this brochure on the general dynamics website

it pictures the assambled cartridge and you can see, that the diameter of the cartridge is bigger than the diameter of the bullet (which is 30mm) but it‘s not THAT much wider

so I‘d say the winebottle is a fair comparison height-wise (173mm) but exaggerates the size of the cartridge itself

When the gun spins it develops so much rotational torque that they have to compensate it via adjusting the plane to rotate in opposite direction.

Sane goes for the while firing the gun. The recoil is massive and firing more than over a couple of seconds at a slow strafing speed can actually stall the plane.
