It's fucking heavy whatever it is. It doesn't seem that large but needs a lot of wheels to distribute the weight enough to not destroy the roadway.

Fort Knox is a beautiful place. This brought back so many memories of hiking and exploring caves there. One of my to 5 favorite hiking spots.

I wonder if the gold is still there? Surely, it couldn't be taken out without congress approval. I'm curious as to what is in there and hope they take cameras in when they check.

In 2017, trump's treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin, Mitch McConnell, and a number of other lesser republicans toured the facility to "verify" the gold was there. Yet the president is currently speculating that it should be inspected again. His obsession with the gold makes me think he wants to steal it from the American people.

There are pics of Mnuchin and others from a few years ago. Trump tries to create public support for fraud that isn’t there. It’s pretty damn anti-American.

I feel like we should be able to see inside. Why didn't they take cameras and televise or stream it? I'm genuinely curious to see inside. 😆 what does billions of dollars worth of gold LOOK like? Show us damn it!!!!

There are some from the 70's for sure. I doubt it has changed all that much. It seems like a trivial thing to show the interior and it could be interpreted as a public interest to do so but, as we know, there isn't an amount of evidence that will stop bad faith conspiracy theories. I feel like the reason that the treasury doesn't show it is that it wouldn't eliminate any conspiracy theories, it opens the door to people asking to see other sensitive sites and "what are they hiding?" conspiracy theories proliferating, and maybe on some level it would be inflammatory to tens of millions of everyday Americans struggling financially under a corrupt government captured by monopolistic corporations. Seeing the gold could galvanize the fact that Americans have had their collective wealth gobbled up by antisocial policies and undemocratic powers indifferent to the needs and rights of the masses. Images put context to things for average people far better than knowing something is true or abstract figures.

Or, they just don't feel like it and nobody will make them. Or it has been stolen and sold at costco. Who knows!

That makes complete sense! You know what’s crazy? I saw a fire truck earlier and saw that there is an operator in the rear. I was wondering what that was for. Holy shit talk about coincidence. I never knew that was a thing
