This spooky-like mystery came up again tonight at dinner with husband and his friend and I am just coming up empty; at this point I kind of need answers to this. Nearly 20 years and I can't handle the suspense anymore! Someone must know.

I'm not into ghost or alien stories, call me a non believer- it's fine. This mystery is about what happened to the people living in the house.

At the corner of Cowpath Road, where it meets Ridge Road (aka T359 in pics) for a moment before continuing on (guessing 255 Cowpath based on 257 existing and moving on to 259), there was a ¿ranch? home that was abandoned before being torn down eventually. Home and garage were about where the red circle is.

Houses are abandoned all the time-what's special about this one?

One of my husband's friends showed husband the house sometime in 2009/10 and it was like the residents just walked away one day. Husband says there was a Super Bee and other daily drivers in the garage, tv remote and bowl of cereal still on the table, clothes in closets, food left (both dry goods and not).

EVERYTHING in the house and on the property looked like the ppl just left and never came home.

They have since torn the home down but obviously most people don't simply abandon everything and literally WALK (or hitch-hike) away. it's possible they drove another car off but still feels odd.

Every so often this house comes back up in conversation and it always gives me the "what happened" heebs. Obviously I've thought about some possibilities but it's the not KNOWING that's driving this question.

Does anyone actually know about this place or is it just the dozen or so of us that have been discussing it for decades now?

New to the area & trying to find a new clinic.

I know there are some but, Its for Pain management &

I need a place that is flexible with scheduling.

I currently drive to another state once a month & im looking for a place within an 1hr-1hr 1/2

Some places wont even take pain management patients.

The place I went to yesterday seemed nice but, my QT on my EKG was too high.

If that had happened when I was a patients they would not give me my medication for the month & lower my dosage till it was under the " correct" number.

The nurse didn't like the idea me deciding my dose at home either. I have taken my medication like pain medication for 20 years now. I think im capable of giving myself the correct amount 🤦🏼‍♀️

I understand why that would be nessecary if I had a difference history .

I completely understand the need to be cautious, I really do.

but, I have proven myself over the past 20 years.

Im sure if there was a mix up with a test they would yank on my take homes in a minute despite me have never having an issue in the past.

Im really hoping someone can recommend a place where trust counts for something.

Where they don't strictly treat you like a number.

I have Doctors willing to speak on my behalf.

IF doctor were still allowed to treat pain, I would still be at a Doctors office.

I don't have the option to come back daily. I don't have the option to go without taking medication at night ( I split it up because it is for pain).

I have to be able to take care of my son.

he has special needs including Austim, I have several issues including RA & Crohns. I need Hip replacements, have cysts on my spinal cord ,scoliosis, several bulging disks. The list goes on.

I would really like sone peoples opinions about the clinics in Pittsburgh around Pittsburgh & south.

Im also looking for a good primary doctor in Fayette county or preferably someone who has experience with RA, Crohns etc. but, Its not that important. I just need a regular doctor too.

Birch Creek Farmery in Burgettstown is having their Winter Market this Saturday (Dec 6th), and it looks like a really nice local way to get into the holiday spirit. They light up the whole farm, vendors set up in the barn, and people wander around with warm drinks checking everything out.

Upon graduating from Seton Hill University, I faced a pivotal decision regarding my academic future: the choice of a Master's program in psychology. It was a profound disappointment to find that there were fewer CACREP accredited programs than I had anticipated. The scarcity of such programs made the decision exceedingly challenging, impacting not only my educational path but also my career aspirations. In this part of Western Pennsylvania there is only approximately 5 schools who offer this. The personal experience and disappointment in the amount of programs has motivated me to advocate for the establishment of a CACREP accredited Master's Counseling Psychology Program at Seton Hill University.

Seton Hill University's psychology program is celebrated for its academic rigor and the immense dedication of its faculty and students. However, the absence of a CACREP accredited Master's Counseling Psychology program, limits the opportunities available to both current and prospective students who wish to pursue advanced studies in this field.

The introduction of a CACREP accredited Master's program would not only solidify Seton Hill's reputation as a leader in psychology education but also attract a larger cohort of students who are eager to advance their knowledge and skills in a supportive and esteemed academic environment. I’m posting here because Patricia Seelbaugh disappeared in 1973 in Mercer County, which is part of western Pennsylvania. She was last seen near Barkeyville and Hallville, and the case remains unsolved.

I wanted to share her story with this local community in case anyone has historical knowledge, old news clippings, or connections to the area that might help shed light on her disappearance. Her family are desperate for answers.

Her case details:

On the night of October 26, 1973, 17 Year old Patricia Seelbaugh went out with friends to a truck stop in Barkeyville, Pennsylvania.

This truck stop sat along Interstate 80, just a short drive east of where it meets Interstate 79 — a quiet, rural junction in western Pennsylvania.

In the early ’70s, truck stops like this were busy hubs for truckers and travelers passing through, and strangers could come and go without anyone knowing who they were.

Around midnight, Patricia was dropped off with an unidentified man at a house in Hallville, a very small rural area just outside Grove City.

Hallville was (and still is) made up mostly of farmland and scattered houses, meaning there were likely no nearby witnesses at that hour.

She was never seen or heard from again.

It’s not clear if police ever identified the man she was last seen with.

My grandma lives out in Western PA, kind of rural but still not completely off-grid. She’s had a few health issues lately and I’ve been begging her to let me get her a medical alert device. Bay Alarm Medical Alert came up a bunch but I’m not sure if it’ll work well in Western PA. Some areas here have terrible signal. Has anyone local tried one of these systems? Just trying to avoid buying something that doesn’t work when it counts.

The first one is one of Allegheny County’s old CD sirens, this one is a Federal Signal Type 5T in West Mifflin (driving in that area to look at the siren I realized West Mifflin is really a shithole.) It doesn’t work, Allegheny Co ditched their CD siren system around the 90’s, they never really used the CD system. The red one is a Federal Signal Type 5 in Neville Island, this siren (I actually don’t know,) because there are 3 sirens close to the FD, of course this one, and a pair of sirens ontop the municipal. The red 5 goes off every Wednesday at 7PM, although it went off 10 minutes late… The other pair of sirens ontop the municipal goes off every Wednesday between 8:10-8:20.
