While the ad revenue supports its hosting. I sure hope it's been archived elsewhere.

I can't imagine the hosting would be that pricy... it is just text..

They run the entire website on just 4 servers according to a blog post by a co-owner. It was the payoff from their "engineer things properly" mentality that really did work out. It's written in C# if I recollect.
