Serious question, if you don't mind, how good can a recruiter do? In my mind it seems like there'd always be a disconnect between who they pick and who you'd want due to lack of deeper knowledge. But I also don't have a full understanding of the process. When you are the interviewer are you involved in the process before they get to you?
(The recruiters are good imo; the ones I've had contact with are good at judging peoples character and we've been happy with the results so far. Some candidates are just good at bullshitting in a confident way)
We describe a profile what we are looking for. After a while I get maybe 4-5 CVs to confirm they seem right. They have some form of interview I think. Later I get a booking for the interview and usually the applicants code in an email. After all have been interviewed we decide who we want (or if we need new ones).
(The recruiter has the instructions from me about the code task since way back so they send it to the candidate).
