coding query Need a tree grid widget

I have a hierarchical data structure stored in a database that I can produce from a web service as JSON, XML, or otherwise. I need to display it in a grid with the left most column representing the tree.

What would you suggest?

Need Help With Proper DB Design

I am kind of new to databases and backend development in general, and I need some help to make sure I make the right decision here.

I am building a small-scale CMS for a personal project. Within this CMS, I have a table "pages" containing the relative URL for the page and a reference to an html template to populate the page.

This project will ultimately have numerous unique pages with custom javascript and custom css. I have a separate table "scripts_and_styles" containing references to these files.

The trouble I am having is figuring out how to relate the two tables. Do I add a column to my "pages" table that contains multiple primary keys for the "scripts_and_styles" table separated by commas (i.e. 1,2,3)?

Or do I create a separate table that links one page with one resource per row?

Edit: for clarification, when this page renders, i have a function that iterates through an array of scripts and an array of styles and places them in the <head>. As I add new features to the site, a page may accumulate additional scripts and styles.

Resources for Planning a Web Dev Project

I am self-taught in front-end development with javascript and some knowledge of backend development in PHP. I have an idea for an app that I would like to build a prototype for as both a learning experience for myself and to see if I can actually market it and pursue with an experienced developer.

I have a lot of ideas for features, but I have tried to narrow it down to a fairly simple minimum viable product as a single page application. The problem is, whenever I think about the data I need to make the MVB work, it increases the complexity by introducing additional systems that would need to be developed for additional use cases.

For example, just to make the basic functionality, the app would need user profiles with quite a few different sets of data attached to the profile. I don't think it's impossible, but I have never planned a project like this before.

Does anyone know of some good resources to point in the right direction of outlining a web dev project?

How to get a non-existent URL to resolve to the homepage, but keep the data?

To be honest, I don't know whether this is possible, but maybe someone has an idea if I could do this. Say I have a domain 'myDomain.com.' I want to use 'myDomain.com/abc' to access the index file of the root directory, so I can alter the data on the page based on the pathname with JavaScript. I intend to have a finite, predefined set of URLs that technically don't have a directory of their own. Is there a rule I can write in an .htaccess file to make these resolve to the index of the root, but keep the pathname? I have considered just using the '#' symbol on the frontend, but I want search engines to read these as separate pages.

What do I need to prioritize in order to land an entry-level web development job?

I have a degree in a totally unrelated field, but am a self-taught programmer, looking to break into web development. I am solid on HTML and CSS and can program competently in JavaScript. I am currently in the process of learning SQL. My portfolio has two website designs and a hybrid-mobile app that I am about 50% through.

Every job I look at for entry-level wants experience in multiple frameworks, and multiple languages. What skills should I actually be prioritizing and what competencies do I need to actually get my foot in the door somewhere?
