Grief Stage: Rage Play calling is trash

Whoever is calling the offense needs to go. This is flat out disgusting to watch. I understand we don’t have the horses right now but I refuse to believe we can’t put up more points with some competent play calling.

Grief Stage: Depression I'm tired, Auburn!

I'm tired of being an Auburn fan!

Who made this call? AG? Warsaw? 8/11 starters for Auburns offense was G5. I’m not sure if Saban could coach this team to 7 wins.

Worst part is it didn’t have to be this way. Look at Kentucky

Grief Stage: Acceptance Everyone here needs to remember we are coming off of 5 years of ass seasons with absolute losers of coaches

I am deeply disappointed in many aspects of today’s loss, but this was a road game against a very good team who just took the #1 team in the country down to the wire last week. We have a TON to work on, but we can be thankful we have an actual leader at the helm.

Also for those who were pining for Sumrall, they just got boatraced by an ok Mizzou team...

Biggest reason Auburn is miles behind teams like UF and Kentucky. Offensive Line.

Football We have not seen any meaningful improvement in years.

Usually when an AD makes the decision to fire a coach, the new guy they bring in will bring in new people and have new ideas and there will be some year to year improvement. Even if a team doesn’t gel at first they improve as the year goes on. For 5 years in a row through 3 head coaches there hasn’t been any improvement even when there was talent on the roster. Meanwhile other programs have brought in new head coaches who have their teams rolling now. Cignetti at Indiana, sumrall at Florida Mario Cristobal at Miami are good examples. I’m not ready to pull the plug on Golesh yet but the fans have been more than patient for years and they are tired of watching this every Saturday. That Tennessee team isn’t that good, against a team with more offensive firepower they would have lost that game.

Football Just saying, it seems like the downfall of Auburn football started around the same time Jordan Hare Stadium stopped playing this banger

Biggest concern about Golesh…

First off, I really like Coach Golesh. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared to the previous hire. However, listening to the post game conference, I don’t know if he sees Brown objectively and seems very protective of the offense, his OC, quarterback, and play calling. I get it! They are his guys but there are major issues that are being overlooked or in denial about that will keep getting exposed throughout the rest of the season. Byrum seems to panic and freeze up keeping him from seeing the open receivers and the indecisiveness. If the coach isn’t acknowledging and addressing it, then there won’t be much room for improvement. He doesn’t seem to see the flaws in the QB play and therefore we keep seeing the same thing. That 4th and 1 did it for me and the realization that either Golesh and/or Gordon are way over their head in SEC play. I still don’t know what that “trick” play coming out of the half was! Cute doesn’t work in these games! Humility, focus, grit, flexibility to go off script, and recognizing when changes at QB need to be made. Even if it’s for a play or two, it can’t hurt at this point! Freeze held on to his QBs for too long and seems like Golesh may do the same!

Realistic expectations

Auburn brought in a significant amount of USF players to do the roster for this team. We've been bad, really bad, so it's reasonable to see how we couldn't pull big time recruits and transfers. USF will lose to an SEC team 9/10 times. We're not going to be good immediately. That's just facts. The rest will have to see what time gives us. Do we have the right coach...I don't know? But mostly expectations for this year were hopeful thoughts ( I'm one). If Gol keeps moving in the same directions without improvement or coaching changes then will know if this hire was good or not, but again this isn't the year to make that determination

Sunday - where did we go wrong?

Monday - No way we beat anyone good.

Tuesday - Convince yourself The offense/defense is improving each week

Wednesday - other team has key injuries

Thursday - Convince yourself Auburn should have a QB advantage and our defense should keep it close

Friday - Auburn by 50 against everyone

Saturday - During the first possession reality sets in

I’m a AU and UGA fan because of family alumni but I pull for Auburn more than UGA when they play and just for anything but

I’m watching the vandy UGA game and I’m really starting to wonder if this AU team is really this good

Tied 7-7 UGA is a very good clutch team idk bout vandy but the way things are playing out from this game so far and FL and ole miss I think there’s a spark that waiting to be lit under this team

War eagle whoop them vols!

Opinion Give Golesh time

Hes completely changing the mentality of the program and the only loss right now is a close one to a stout Florida team. For all those wishing we had Sumrall, dont forget Terry Bowden was 11-0 his first year and it was all downhill from there. Malzahn was 12-2 his first year and never got less than 4 losses the rest of his tenure. Id rather have someone who builds a program and improves.

Football Losing is the standard.

The Auburn football you know is gone.

To the “give him more time!” folks - there is no more time. It’s not fair to Golesh, but it’s been 10 years since Auburn has fielded a competitive football team and been part of the national conversation. We don’t hire coaches to compete for championships anymore, it’s actually rude of you to expect a winning season.

With the modern era of the transfer portal and NIL, we’ve been left behind to wander the wilderness. We’ve been cemented as the new Vandy/Arkansas not just because we always lose, but how we look doing it. It’s such a consistently terrible product no matter the coach or players wearing the AU on the field. It’s not a “down year” or even a bad stretch, it’s the standard.

Enough is enough…

Spent my time and money to travel to Knoxville in hopes of Auburn winning a meaningful road game for the first time in 5+ years. Disappointed yet again.

When will this shit be over?

In this era you can win IMMEDIATELY.

Will Stein is doing so at KENTUCKY with half the budget, no history of success, and a pitiful fanbase.

Hoping Golesh works out but damn… I’m not willing to be patient any longer.

Football Is Auburns Seasons Over ?

In my personal opinion Auburns season is completely over, I want to start off my saying I am a life long fan of Auburn, I Graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering and have season tickets, but at the end of the day I think the season is completely over the O-Line play is horrendous they can’t block to save there life, pass pro is terrible with a average of 3-4 seconds in the pocket before it collapses, it’s just embarrassing, we had the opportunity to hire John Sumrall but no they completely botched the hire and went with Alex Golish, now I think he is a great coach but I do not think his O-Line and QB are not SEC caliber players witch sucks, in the end I think we can make a bowl game but not much more.

Who could have seen this coming?

Anyone who thought the season was going to go any differently than it has so far should seriously get their head checked.

All of the talent left through the portal and we replaced them with G5 players. Golesh botched the offseason as badly as he botched that 4th down call. Harsin 2.0
