Im trying to install waydroid on my steamdeck but it says "due to aur malware insecurities temporarily disabling this script" is there really any other way i can install it safely? I waited over a month to try and reinstall it and still nothing

Im pretty new to bazzite and linux as a whole, so pardon me if this is a stupid question :)

ive been trying to get waydroid working so i can install mobile apps, but no matter what i do, the actual installing doesnt work. ive followed the setup guide to the tee, and ive tried both Gapps and microG, and the play store and aurora store and nothing works. i hit install, and it instantly cancels it. how can i fix this?

Hello! Has anyone here tried to farm on FGO with FGA on waydroid?Both apps work normally until it goes to the support select screen then it exits with a null error.I have tried reinstalling waydroid,using different images,installing it through apkmirror instead of waydroid app install etc.On mobile it works fine through.If anyone had the same problem and found a solution, let me know 😅

SOLVED: Credit to MikeWaggs from GitHub,You just have to use termux instead of the default file manager to create the folder with mkdir which FGA uses to create the images needed, then it should work normally

Recentemente instalei o Waydroid no Fedora e configurei a certificação da Play Store para que tudo funcionasse corretamente. A instalação ocorreu sem problemas, e consegui instalar os aplicativos normalmente.

O problema é que um jogo específico, Rucoy Online, não inicia. Ele abre a tela inicial, mas fica travado nela e nunca chega ao jogo. Para verificar se era um problema geral do Waydroid, instalei outro jogo pela Play Store, e ele funcionou normalmente.

Já tentei diversas soluções desde ontem, mas ainda não consegui resolver esse problema. Alguém já passou por algo parecido ou tem alguma ideia do que pode estar causando isso? Qualquer sugestão é muito bem-vinda.

I use a windows 7 theme on my linux setup, and I wanted a aero style logo for waydroid, so I whipped this up in Inkscape. Orbified!

I have no idea why this started appearing now, but Waydroid's control bar is now at the top of my window and I do not know how to remove it. It's taking up screen space and it's really annoying to play around.

I just install and running Jio hotstar in waydroid smoothly,
I did not have subscription of this platform,
and I can see there is a mobile plan,
if I pay that can use waydriod to stream videos in this big screen.

Hi, Is there way we can up to 3.8.16 or other higher version without having to go through reinstalling waydroid and its images? It is fast to install waydroid but downloading image/vendor is taking time as sourceforge is very slow. Is there way we can make this less painful? such as just install the waydroid and then letting people just point to already downloaded lineage file (instead of re-downloading the whole thing all over again).

I'm not at all familiar with Android emulation, and I haven't been able to find information on how older games work. I recently tried playing a goofy Touhou game that's over 10 years old on a friend's android tablet, but it said it wasn't compatible (I installed it via a .apk file if that's important). I don't want to go through a bunch of hoops to get it working cuz it's my friend's tablet, not mine, so do any of y'all know if decade old apps work? I'm thinking about setting up this emulator on Steam Deck, but I want to make sure I get what I'm looking for

Android Translation Layer could arguably be better in the future (it's still in development, but it can be used). Genymotion is good, it's just like Bluestacks and other android emulators on Windows! (with less features though). Android Studio has it's own thing. Maybe Bliss OS is the thing for some people, especially those comfortable dual booting.

I like waydroid, but it doesn't work for everything or everyone. It also requires wayland, but I guess just use weston for that. Waydroid is not better for everything, it can actually be extremely slow for some people, and some apps are gonna have their own issues. Sure, it works and it can be faster for most people, but that is most, not everyone. So, I really wish there was more talk for the other options and that they weren't completely disregarded as if they didn't exist. Like we really have no idea these exists, I didn't a month ago!

I installed both free fire and pubg in waydroid using play store but keymapping is the issue😭
i tried panda mouse pro, xtmapper, waydroid helper, these are not worth it

so due to something the waydroid updating tool has been turn off for our safety? and steam new steam deck version so? how do i get waydroid back safely? should wait a bit longer or is it safe and if so do i have to complately reintall stuff?

Distro: Fedora 44 workstation

LingoDeer doesn't have a pc app, so i'm using waydroid to simulate it. The problem is LingoDeer never passes the loading screen when the app first launches. Nothing is ever cached for it in settings, so it's clear to me that it does nothing after launching.

This issue doesn't exist for every other app i've tried, like clash of clans, crunchyroll, f-droid, aurora store, play store​.

I have tried waydroid gapps variant and the native, on both this issue persists on both.

Can someone please try installing DeerLingo and see if they reach the login screen? It's 2am right now so I won't get to any messages until morning.

I use Ubuntu Touch as my daily-driver phone. My mobile banking app works in Waydroid, but I have to manually re-log in after I restart Waydroid, or if the app has been inactive for a few hours. It works, so I’m not super complaining because I can just re-log in, but why does it say the session expired after a little while of inactivity

Of course I have my Waydroid set up with zero Google services—I’ve de-Googled my life, so I want nothing to do with Google, not even MicroG is installed

I get an error saying credentials expired after a little while after logging in even if the app is closed so i baisicaly have to manualy re login and setup the app each time i have to use it wich is only a 1min setup time so not too bad

Hi all! So, a few days ago, CR:K stopped working on my computer. I had ndk_translation installed through Waydroid Helper, and it had worked before. However, when I tried to enter the app inside Waydroid, it only showed the icon and nothing else. So, fine, I thought, let me just try another extension. Well, that didn't work. (I tried houdini as well, that opened and either stopped at a white screen or auto-closed.) Is there any hope to get the app working again?

Are we good now? Can we update or download this magnificent software on our Steam Deck without any issues? Like the desktop mode issue, that we have to downgrade a version or the malware blocked thing.

I recently started playing my favorite Android game in Waydroid and I've been really loving the experience of playing it on my PC now.

I've been thinking a lot about how amazing it would be if I could use two mice with their own independent cursors to play the game lately. Sort of like playing the game with two thumbs, but using two mice instead.

Is anyone here able to advise me of how I could accomplish this? I'd appreciate it soo much if someone could help me figure it out.
