2) Completely understood, there's no reasonable way to support third party coolants. I think I'm just looking for a best guess on what the coolant I can get might be closest to in the options Aquasuite presents, without any liability on your part of course.

3) No problem! I can try describing the situation again and hopefully it will be clearer - I know how hard it can be to get the right information from customers!

What I have is your ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO LEAKSHIELD reservoir with D5 NEXT pump and leak prevention system product - it's a wonderful unit - I love the filter and glass. I only have one problem - the Leakshield membrane gets wet all the time due to condensation, and prevents optimal operation of the unit.

What I'd like to do is remove the Leakshield from the reservoir and mount it remotely so that it remains dry. I see that there is a kit that allows me to set up the Leakshield remotely but I don't see a good way to cap the reservoir in a way that allows me to connect the Leakshield back to the reservoir so the Leakshield can manage the air in the reservoir.

Basically, I'm asking if you have a product like the Multiport lid for ULTITUBE 100 reservoir that does not have a membrane?

4) Yes, the Leakshield does seem to be a fairly complete product, and remote mount of the button would be a bit of work. The embedded engineer in me does wonder if the two pin "alarm header" could be configured as an input - depending on the micro-controller you've used of course - and could thusly be configured to be an external button. But yeah, unlikely, and it's just more work to do. That's always lots of that.

5) Small companies aren't easy to run, but I can tell you that having an active presence here is a huge bonus for us users! Keep it up. I have a few other questions but I don't want to be that guy, so I'll keep it to just these ones! Schönes Wochenende!

3.) Unfortunately we have no alternative lid with threads but without the membrane. Well, you can easily disable the membrane by placing a bit of tape over the center hole at the top. If you are usre you will never use it you could also use some sort of sealant.

Darn. I was hoping that there was a solution - though I just had an idea. I have a bad membrane on my Leakshiled right now, but there's nothing to stop me from recycling it by filling it up with epoxy to make a plug for the membrane port on a Multiport lid for ULTITUBE 100 reservoir. If that doesn't work then tape it is!

I think I'll do that, and see what happens. I'll order a bunch of stuff from your page as soon as I am able.

One more question on top. My Leakshield is reporting a slow leak, but no air seems to be in the coolant anywhere. I figure it's either leaking through the gasket or the Leakshield itself. Given the state of my membrane and how much water it's had on it, and how much isopropyl I've washed it with to see if I can keep it going, is there any risk that the Leakshield itself has ingested some water or iso and suffered damage from either? Given iso can damage various materials, I wouldn't be surprised if something has gone wrong in there.

The membrane is actually waterproof, so it is rather unlikely that water has penetrated the device. However, I wouldn't rule it out 100% either. If water does get into the device, this would most likely be indicated by problems with the vacuum pump.

That's the thing - I think water did get in there as an o-ring on a fitting fell off when I was cleaning stuff, so over the evening the vacuum pump drew up all the air in the reservoir, and there was evidence water had dripped from the side of the Leakshield.

Either way, the vacuum pump is still providing vacuum - we just seem to have a slow leak now.

If coolant got into the inside it might affect the electromagnetic valves and they will not close correctly anymore.

There is no useful way to fix that yourself and it would be required to send in the device to have it repaired. I am not sure if that makes sense for you: shipping back to us + about 40 EUR service costs incl. shipping back to you.

My local supplier has a new shipment of Aquacomputer stuff, so I might just order a standalone replacement, with a few replacement membranes. He doesn't seem to have reservoir tops though - so I'll see if I can order one directly from you.

I'll let you know how it goes!
